V-80-20 OF WUV'S RESTAURANT. The Planning Agency of the City of Tustin does hereby resolve as fol- lows: I. The Planning Agency finds and determines as follows: A. That a proper application (Variance 80-20) was filed on be- half of Wuv's Restaurant for a Variance to permit a double- faced illuminated sign of 31 1/2 square feet on the property described as 17502 Seventeenth Street. B. That a public hearing was duly called, noticed, and held on said application. C. That because of special circumstances applicable to the sub- ject property, relative to size, shape, topography, location or surroundings, a strict application of the sign ordinance is found to deprive the subject property of privileges en- joyed by other properties in the vicinity and under identical zone classification, evidenced by the following findings: 1. The building has a 60 foot setback. · Other like signs exist for similar businesses in the area· D. That the granting of a variance as herein provided will not constitute a grant of special privilege inconsisent with the limitations upon other properties in the vicinity and dis- trict in which the subject property is situated. E. That the granting of the variance as herein provided will not be contrary to the intent of the sign ordinance or the public safety health and welfare, and said variance should be granted. F. Final sign plan shall require the review and approval of the Community Development Department. II. The Planning Agency hereby grants a variance as applied for, to permit a double-faced illuminated sign of 31 1/2 square feet, subject to the following conditions: A. Final sign location at or near the corner of Seventeenth and Enderle Center Drive is dependent upon adequate driver sight distances as determined by the City Engineer. B. Enderle Center shall not be granted more than two (2) center identification signs due to the approval of this request. C. Sign and electrical permits have to be obtained prior to in- stallation of the sign. PASSED AND DOPTED at a regular meeting of the Planning Agency held on the 19th day of January, 1981. M.I.
