RESOLUTION NO. 1913
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING AGENCY OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN, APPROVING THE USE PERNtlT (80-15) TO AP-
PROVE THE CONSTRUCTI ON AND OPERATION OF EIGHT
ADDITIONAL MOTEL UNITS AT 750 EL CAMINO REAL (150
SOUTH LAGUNA ROAD).
The Planning Agency of the City of Tusfin does hereby resolve as follows:
t. The':Planning Agency finds and determines:
A. That a proper application (Use Permit 80-15) has been filed by
Bharaf Gala on behalf of Tusfin Motor Lodge, fo construct and
operate eight (8) additional motel units at 750 E! Camino Real
(formerly 150 South Laguna Road).
B. That a public hearing was duly called, noticed and held on said
application.
C. That establishment, maintenance, and operation of the use applied
for will not, under the circumstances of this case, 'be detri-
mental fo the health, safety, morals, comfort, or general welfare
of the persons residing or working in the neighborhood of such
proposed use, evidenced by the foliowi.ng'~ findings:
1. That said development is in conformance with the Tustin Area
General Plan and requirements of the Commercial (C-2! Zoning
District.
D. That the establishment, maintenance, and operation of the use
applied for will not be injurious or detrimental fo the. property
and improvements in the neighborhood of the subject property, nor
fo the general welfare of the city of Tustin, and should be
granted.
E. Proposed development shall be in accordance with the development
policies adopted by the City Council, Uniform Building Codes as
administered by the Building Official, Fire Code as administered
by Orange County Fire Marshal, and street improvement require-
merits as administered by the City Engineer.
F. That the project is categorically exempt from the requirements
of the California E,~vironmenfal Quality Act.
G. Final development plans shall require f'he review and approval
the Community Development Department.
II. The Planning Agency hereby adopts Conditional Use Permit 80-15, to
authorize the construction and operation of eight additional motel
units at Tustin t~ofor Lodge, subject to the roi lowing conditions:

A. Final development plans shall be developed by a building designer
in order that they are harmonious with the highest sfanda.rd of
improvement in the surrounding area and in keeping with the re-
vitalization ~f the E! Camino Real area as outlined in Ordinance
No. 510.
B. The final site plan shall be standardized and reflect all ap-
propriate City standard drawing numbers. The developer shall
construct all missing or damaged street improvements to said
development per the City of Tustin "Minimum Design Standards
of' Public Work~' and "Street Improvement Standards." This
work shall consist of, but is not limited to: curbs and gutters,
sidewalks, drive aprons, and street pavement.

C. All public improvements to be constructed in conjunction with
fhi's development shall be complet%d prior fo the issuance of any
Certificate of Occupancy.
D. Prior fo building permit issuance, a landscape improvement plan
shall be submitted and approved by the Cornrnunify Development
Department.
E. No new kitchen facilities shall be installed in the motel complex.
F. Exterior building materials and colors shall be submitted fo Com-
munity Development for review and approval.
PASSED AND ADOPTED afa regular meeting of the Tusfin Planning Agency,
held on the 18th day of August, 1980.
