RESOLUTION NO. 1890
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING AGENCY OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN, GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR
THE DISPLAY OF COMMERCIAL SIGNS IN THE PLANNED
COMMUNITY DISTRICT AT 2512-2522 CHAMBERS ROAD
The Planning Agency of the City of Tustin does hereby re-
solve as follows:
1. The Planning Agency finds and determines as follows:
a. That a proper application, Use Permit No. 80-9,
was filed on behalf of Tustin Business Park for
authorization to allow the display of commercial
signing for certain tenants in a Planned Community
district at 2512 - 2522 Chambers Road.
b. That a public hearing was duly called, noticed and
held on said application;
c. That establishment, maintenance and operation of
the use applied for will not, under the circum-
stances of this case, be detrimental to the health,
safety, morals, comfort or general welfare of the
persons residing or working in the neighborhood
of such proposed use, evidenced by the following
findings:
The application is in conformance with Section
9470 a (3) and 9478 of the City Sign Code.
d. That this application is categorically exempt from
the requirements of the California Environmental
Quality Act.
e. That the establishment, maintenance and operation
of the use applied for will not be injurious or
detrimental to the property and improvements in the
neighborhood of the subject property, nor to the
general welfare of the City of Tustin, and should
be granted.
f. Proposed development shall be in accordance with
the development policies adopted by the City Council
Uniform Building Codes as administered by the Buil-
ding Official, Fire Code as administered by the
Orange County Fire Marshal, and street improvement
requirements as administered by the City Engineer.
g. Final development plans shall require the review
and approval of the Community Development Director.
2. The Planning Agency hereby grants a Conditional Use
Permit, as applied for to allow the display of commer-
cial signs for certain tenants at 2512-2522 Chambers
Road subject to the following conditions:
a. Commercial signs shall be limited to chartered
financial institutions and real estate offices
only.
b. Commercial signing shall be limited to:
1 - 30 square ft. business identification (or logo)
sign per office street or parking lot frontage.

c. No individual freestanding business identification
or directory signs are authorized, unless per-
mitted by the sign code.
d. Two, double face build, ing identification signs
are authorized, one for Chambers Road frontage
and one for Salnut Avenue.
e. No individual tenant identification is authorized
on the monument signs.
f. Ail other tenant identification signs shall be
6 square feet maximum size and shall be of a
style and location as noted on the approved
master sign plan.
g. Final construction plans for all signs shall be
submitted to the Building Official for review and
approval before issuance of permits.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Planning Agency,
held on the 7th day of April , 1980.
