RESOLUTION NO. 1886
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING AGENCY OF THE
CITY OF TUSTIN, APPROVING USE PERMIT 80-8,
AUTHORIZING A FREEWAY IDENTIFICATION SIGN
FOR 690 EL CAMINO. REAL.
The Planning Agency of the City of Tustin does hereby resolve as follows:
t. The Planning Agency finds and determines as follows:
A. A proper application (Use Permit 80-8) has been filed by
Elizabeth Howard on behalf of the Curtain Call Dinner Theater,
to authorize a freeway identification sign at 690 E1Camino Real.
B. That a public hearing was duly called, noticed, and held on said
application.
C. That establishment, maintenance and operation of the use applied
for will not, under the circumstances of this case, be detrimental
to the health, safety or general welfare of the persons residing
or working in the neighborhood of such proposed use, evidenced by
the following findings:
1. The sign, as proposed, is in conformance with the City of
Tustin Sign Ordinance No. 684.
2. The sign will be compatible with the Master Sign Plan for
E1Camino Plaza.
D. That the establishment, maintenance and operation of the use
applied for will not be injurious nor detrimental to the property
nor to the general welfare of the City of Tustin, and should be
granted.
E. Proposed development shall be in accordance with the development
policies adopted by the City Council, Uniform Building Codes as
administered by the Building official, Fire Code as administered
by Orange County Fire Marshal, and street improvement rec~uire-
ments as administered by the City Engineer.
F. That the development is categorically exempt from the require-
ments of the California Environmental Quality Act.
G. Final development plans shall require the review and approval
of the Community Development Department.
ll. The Planning Agency hereby grants a Use Permit to allow a freeway
identification sign for the Curtain Call Dinner Theater located at
690 E1Camino Real, as applied for, subject to the following
.
conditions.
A. Ail construction documents shall comply with all applicable
City building regulations and the Sign Code No. 684. A string
of open light bulbs shall not be permitted.
B. No illuminated sign shall have an intensity of light exceeding
425 ~'~ soft cool white lamps of not less than 10 inches on
centers.
C. The s~gn shall not exceed a total of 480 square feet.

D. The sign proposal should conform to the Master Sign Plan for
E1 Camino Plaza.
E. Prior to permit issuance, a written statement.by the owner of
E1Camino Plaza will be required indicating that no other signs
shall be allowed on the entire rear wall. This Use Permit shall
be valid only for the use as proposed (Use Permit 78-21).
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Tustin Planning Agency,
held on the 7th day of April , 1980.
