RESOLUTION NO. 1800
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING AGENCY OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO AUTHORIZE
CONSTRUCTION OF A POLE SIGN AT 17292 McFADDEN
The Planning Agency of the City of Tustin does hereby
resolve as follows:
1. The Planning Agency finds and determines as follows:
A. That a proper application was filed on behalf of Mr.
Maurice Lebanoff for a conditional use permit to author-
ize. construction of a shopping center identification pole
sign to be located on the southeast corner o.~ McFadden
and Walnut Avenues.
B. That a public hearing was duly called, noticed and held
on said application.
C. That this application is categorically exempt from the
requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act.
D. That establishment, maintenance and operation of the use
applied for will not, under the circumstances of this case,
be detrimental to the health, safety, morals, comfort or
general welfare of the persons residing or working in the
neighborhood of such proposed use, evidenced by the follow-
ing findings:
1) The land use is in conformance with the Tustin Zoning
Code.
2) The sign is in conformance with the provisions of the
Tustin Sign Code and the cOlors conform to those of the
existing master sign plan.
E. That the establishment, maintenance and operation of the
use applied for will not be injurious or detrimental to
the property and improvements in the neighborhood of the
subject property, nor to the general welfare of the City
of Tustin, and should be granted.
F. Proposed sign shall be in accordance with the development
policies as adopted by the City Council.
G. Final sign plans shall require the review and approval
of the Community Development Director.
2. The Planning Agency hereby grants a conditional use permit, as
applied for, to authorize the construction of a 50 square foot
pole sign at the Tustin Walnut Village Shopping Center subject
to the following conditions.
A. The sign cabinet and pole cover shall be painted a flat dark
brown.
B. Construction drawings shall be submitted to the Building Off ici
for plan check to include but not limited to electrical
specifications, site plan and construction details.
C. The pole sign shall be located outside of the dedicated public
right of way line and the sign shall not overhang the future

public right-of-way.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Planning Agency
held on the 15th day of January 1979.
