HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC RES 1719 1 £ 4 § 8 9 10 11 15 17 18 19 20 ~4 ~5 RESOLUTION NO. 1719 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING AGENCY OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN RECOMMENDING AMENDMENT TO LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN RELATIVE TO TIlE EASTERLY SIDE OF RED HILL AVENUE AND NORTHERLY OF MITCHELL AVENUE The Planning Agency of the City of Tustin does hereby resolve as follows: 1. The Planning Agency finds and determines: (a) That Section 65356.1 of the Government Code of the State of California provides that when it is deemed to be in the public interest, the legislative body may amend a part of the General Plan. That, in accordance with Section 65356 of the Government Code of the State of California, a public hearing was duly advertised and held on February 21, 1978 on the application of property owners within the area as initiated by Santa Ana First Federal Savings to consider General Plan Amendment 78-1 to reclassify the properties located on the east side of Red Hill Avenue, north of Mitchell Avenue from single family residential to professional office use. (b) That an initial environmental study was prepared and a negative declaration of environmental impact was grante by the Community Development Director. (c) That the highest and best use of the land would be for professional offices of not more than two stories in height. (d) That the change in classification would be in the public interest and not detrimental to the welfare of the public or the surrounding property owners. · 2. The Planning Agency hereby recommends ~o the City Council approval of General Plan Amendment 78-1 amending the Land Use. Element to reclassify the properties on the eastern side of Red Hil Avenue, northerly of Mitchell Avenue, as sho~.m in Exhibit "A" from single-family residential to professional uses with the' following conditions: (a) That a zone change application will be submitted to the City for the appropriate district prior to submission of-building plans. (b) That a 10' structural setback will be maintained frqm any lot line which abuts residential zones and uses. / PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Planning AgenQy held on the 21st day of February, 1978.
