HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC RES 1676 ! 2 4 6 8 9 · . . 21 $! RESOLUTION NO. 1676 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING AGENCY OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT ON APPLICATION NO. U.P. 77-25, FOR THE DISPLAY OF A POLE SIGN AT 1082 IRVINE BOULEVARD. The Planning Agency of the City of Tustin does hereby resolve as follows: 1. The Planning Agency finds and determines as follows: .. . a. That a proper application (No. U.P0 77-25) was filed on behalf of D.K. Donuts by Big Bob's Electrical Sign for a Use Permit to allow for a pole sign for the property located at-1082 Irvine Boulevard. b. That a public hearing was duly called, noticed and held on said application; c. That establishment, maintenance and operation of the use applied for will not, under the circum- stances of this case, be detrimental to the health, safety, morals, comfort or general welfare of the persons residing or working in the neighborhood of such proposed use, evidenced by the following findings: 1. That the application is in conformance with Sign Ordinance No. 684. 2. That the proposal is in conformance with the Tustin Area General Plan and Zoning Ordinance. · d. That the establishment, maintenance and operation of the use applied for will not be injurious or detrimental to the property and improvements in the neighborhood of the subject property, nor to the general welfare of the City of Tustin, and should be granted. e. Proposed development shall be in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance and the development po]_icies adopted by the City Council, Uniform Building Codes as administered by the Building Official, Fire Code as administered by the Fire Chief, and street improvement requirements as adminis- tered by the City Engineer. f. That a request for exemption from the Environmental Impact Report procedures has been filed and approved. 2. The Planning Agency hereby grants a Use Permit, as applied for, to allow a pole sign at 1082 Irvine Boulevard, subject to the following conditions: 1. That maximum sign area shall not exceed 32 sq. ft. 2. That' the height shall not exceed that of the adjoin- ing building. 3. That a landscaped planter equal in area to the area of the sign face shall be constructed at the base of the pole. 5. That a decorative pole cover shall be installed of a material similar to that of the adjoining building. 6. That'complete sign plans shall be submitted for review by staff. PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Planning Agency of the City of Tustin held on the 19th day of September, 1977.
