RESOLUTION N0. 1547
Q
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN RECOPdMENDING AMENDMENT TO LAND USE ELEMENT
OF THE GENERAL PLAN RELATIVE TO LAND ON THE EAST SIDE
OF NEWPORT AVENUE SOUTHERLY OF ANDREWS
The Planning Commission of the City of Tustin does hereby
resolve as follows;
1. The Planning Commission finds and determines as follows
a. That Section 65356.1 of the State of California
Government Code provides that when it is deemed
to be in the public interest, the legislative body
may amend a part of the General Plan.
That on the Planning Commission's own motion and in
accordance with Section 65356 of the State of
California Government Code, a public hearing was
duly advertised and held on September 13, 1976 to
consider General Plan Amendment 76-2E to reclassify
an area of land on the east side of Newport Avenue
southerly of Andrews and more particularly describe
as 13682 Newport Avenue.
b. That there is no environmental impact as the result
of the change in classification of the land use
since the property is already developed and no
additional development is proposed or will result
from this action.
c. That the change in classification would bring the
Land Use Element in conformance with actual use of
the property and therefore is in the public interes
and not detrimental to the welfare of the public or
the surrounding property owners.
2. The Planning Commission hereby recommends to the City
Council approval of General Plan Amendment 76-2E amend-
ing the Land Use Element to reclassify the area of land
at the south easterly corner of Newport and Andrews
from Multi-family Residential to Commercial usage.
