RESOLUTION NO. 1470
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TUSTIN RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL
APPROVAL OF THE SPECIFIC PLAN OF BICYCLE TRAILS
AND WAYS, AS AMENDED.

APPROVAL OF THE SPECIFIC PLAN OF BICYCLE TRAILS
~ND WAYS, AS A~,~NDED.
The Planning Commission of the City of Tustin does
hereby resolve as follows:
1. The Planning Commission finds and determines
as follows:
a)
That a S~ecific Plan of Bike Trails and
Ways for the City of Tustin was properly
initiated by the Planning Commission and
ad,opted by the City Council in 1973.
b)
That the Bicycle Recreation Safety Act of
19 71 provides that special consideration
shall be given to the inclusion of bicycle
paths or routes to serve schools.
c)
That limited funds are available under the
SB 821 Bike Fund to cities who have adopted
bike trail plans.
d)
That 'new routes have been adopted since the
inception of the initial Specific. Plan of
Bicycle Trails and Ways.
e)
That a public hearing was duly advertised
and held before the Planning Commission on
October 13, 19 75, for the purpose of amending
and updating the Specific Plan of Bicycle
Trails and Ways.
f)
That a request for exemption from the Environ-
mental Impact Report procedures has been filed
and approved.
The Planning commission hereby recommends, to 'the
City Council the adoption of the Specific Plan of
Bike Trails and Ways MAP,. as .amended, with priorities
for implementation to be the City-County NeWport
Avenue-Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way and
the San Juan way along the Tustin High School property
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Planning
Commission, held on the 13th day of October, 1975.
