RESOLUTION NO. 1462
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN GRANTING A USE PERMIT ON APPLICATION NO. U.P.
75-18, OF ST. CECILIA CATHOLIC CHURCH
The Planning. Commission of the City of Tustin does here~
resolve as follows:
1. The Planning Commission finds and determines as
follows:
a. That a proper application No. UoP. 75-18 Was filed
on behalf of St. Cecilia Catholic Church for a
Use Permit to allow the construction of a new
parish hall in conjunction with an existing church
and church school for the property located at
1301 Sycamore Avenue, Tustin.
b. That a p~lic hearing was duly called, noticed
and held on said application.
c. That establishment, maintenance and operation o~[
the use applied for will not, under the circ.um-
stances of this case, be detrimental to the
health, safety, morals~ comfort or general
welfare of the persons residing or working in
the neighborhood of such proposed use, evidenced
by the following findings:
(1) That chUrches and their related facilities
a necessary and beneficial adjunct to
c ormmun i ty needs.
(2) That the subject use' is in conformance with
the Tustin Area General Plan as adopted by
the City of Tustin.
d. That the establishment, maintenance and operation
of the use applied for will not be injurious or
detrimental to the property and improvements in.
the neighborhood of the subject property, nor to
the general welfare of the City of Tustin, and
should be granted.
e. Proposed development shall be in accordance
with the Zoning Ordinance and the development
policies adopted by the City Council, Uniform
Building Codes as administered by t/~e Building
Official, Fire Code as administered by the Fire
Chief, and street improvement requirements as
administered by the City Engineer.
f. That a request for eXemption from the Environmental
Impact Report procedures has been filed and
approved.
2. The Planning Commission hereby grants a Use Permit,
as applied for, to allow the construction of a new
parish hall in conjunction with an existing church
and chu.~ch school subject to the following conditions:

a. That the subject parcel shall be annexed to the
Tustin Lighting District.
b. That an additional 10 foot wide parcel across the
Sycamore frontage be dedicated for street
purposes.
c. That a grading' plan be submitted for staff
review and .approval.
d.. That precise development plans to include
landscaping, irrigation, lighting, signing, and
building materials be submitted fo.r staff review
and approval.

e. That the applicant comply with previous Planning
Commission actions to include the conditions
of Use Permit 69-306.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the planning
Con%mission, held on the 25th day of August, 1975.
