A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION GRANTING USE
PERMIT 75-17 FOR PAVING AND OUTSIDE STORAGE IN
CONJUNCTION WITH AN EXISTING MANUFACTURING FACILITY

The Planning Commission of the City of 'Tustin does hereby
resolve as follows:
1. The Planning Con%mission finds and determines as
follows:

That a proper application (Use Permit 75-17) was
filed on behalf of Spartan Plastics Incorporated
for the purpose of authorizinq, the paving and
outside storage of finished products on a vacant
parcel adjacent to the existing manufacturing
building located at 1301 Edinger Avenue;
b. That a public hearing was duly called, noticed
and held on said application;

That the establishment, maintenance and operation
of the outside storage facility, under the
circumstances of this case, will not be detri-
mental to the health, safety, comfort or general
welfare of the persons residing or working in the
neighborhood of such proposed use, evidenced by
the following findings:
(i)
The storage facilities will be used in
conjunction with an existing manufacturing
operation.
(2)
Outside storage will be screened from
public view.
(3)
There will be no increase in traffic,
noise nor public nuisance resulting from
proposed use.

That the establishment, maintenance and operation
of the use applied for will not be~injurious or
detrimental to the property and improvements in
the neighborhood of the subject property, ..nor to
the general welfare of the City of Tustin, and
should be granted.

Proposed development shall be in accordance with
the Zoning Ordinance and the development policies
adopted by the City Council, Uniform Building
Codes as administered by the Building Official,
Fire Code as administered by the Fire Chief, and
street improvement~requirements as administered
by the City Engineer.
An application has been filed and approved for a
Negative Environmen~a! Impact Declaration.

The Planning Commission hereby grants a Use Permit,
as applied for, to allow the paving and use of the
parcel in the industrial district for the outside
storage of finished products subject to the
following conditions:
a~
The submission and approval of grading and
paving plans.
b. Annexation of subject property to the Tustin
Lighting DiStrict.

Dedication of additional 20' parcel of land
across t~he Edinger street frontage for street
purposes.

Curb cuts for construction within the public
right of way to require a construction permit
from the Engineering Department, with .all
construction to conform to city standards.
A masonry wall not less than 6' 8~] nor greater than
8' to be constructed on the Edinger Street
frontage, on a line with and matching in color
the adjacent building.

The submission and approval of landscap~ plans
and irrigation for the Edinger property frontage
and tree plantings on easterly and westerly lot
lines.
g. The bonding for any required improvements not
completed prior to desired occupancy of the sto~ag
yard.
h. The storage of finished products not' to exceed
in height, t_he height of the Edinger Street
screen wall.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Planning
Commission held on the 11th day of August, 1975.
