RESOLUTION NO. 1445
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN GRANTING A USE PERMIT ON APPLICATION NO. UP 75-12
OF THE FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF TUSTIN
The Planning Commission of the City of Tustin does hereby
resolve as follows:

The Planning Commission finds and determines as
follows:
a)
That a proper application No. UP 75-12 was filed
on behalf of the First Christian Church of Tustin..
for a Use Permit to authorize the development of a
church and related facilities for the property
located on the southwest side of Irvine Boulevard
approximately 350 feet northwesterly of the center-
line of Red Hill Avenue;
b)
c)
That a public hearing was duly called, noticed and
held on said application~ ~. ~
That establishment, .maintenance and 9peration of '
the use/applied for Will. ~not/'~under the circum-
stance~ of this case", be ~detrimentaL? to the health
safet~~, morals, comfort or general-Welfare of the
persons residing or working in the neighborhood
of such prOpOsed usE, evidenced by the following~
findings:
(1) That churches are a necessary & beneficial
adjunct to community needs; and
(2) That subject use is in conformance to the
TuStin General Plan as adopted by the
City Council of Tustin; and
(3) That the development will be constructed in
accordance with an approved master plan for
the complex.
d)
That-.the establishment, maintenance and operatio~
of ~he use applied for will not be injurious or
detrimental to the property and improvements in
thel neighborhoOd of the subject property, nor to
the general welfare of the City of Tustin, and
should be granted·
e)
Proposed development shall be in accordance with
the Zoning Ordinance and the development policies
adopted by the City Council, Uniform Building
Codes as administered by the Building Official,
Fire Code as administered by the Fire Chief, and'
street improvement requirements as administered
by the City Engineer.
f)
That a request for exemption from the
Environmental Impact Report procedures has been
filed and approved.

The Planning Commission hereby grants a Use Permit,
as applied for, to permit the development of a church
and related facilities subject to the following
conditions:
a)
That the phasing of this development of this
facility shall be accomplished in accordance
with a master plan to be reviewed and approved
by staff.
b)
That the conditions of Parcel Map 73-60 be
complied with.
c)
That the conditions of Zone Chage 72-231 be
complied with to include the installation of a
6'8" decorative masonry perimeter wall to be of
the same design as found on the adjacent property
to southeast.
d)
That each increment or phase of construction shall
be reviewed and approved by the Planning Commission
without a public hearing.
e)
That a minimum 10 foot wide irrigated landscaping
strip across the frontage of the property be.
provided with the first phase of development.
f)
That parking be provided as shown on the plan,
constructed to minimum City standards to the
satisfaction of staff.
g)
That revised plans shall be submitted to staff
for review and approval, to include plot,
elevations, landscaping, irrigation, lighting,
and signing plans.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Planning
Commission, held on the 27th day of May, 1975.
