HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC RES 1398 3 4 5 6 ? 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 $2 RESOLUTION NO. 1398 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN RECOMMENDING A REVISION IN THE PRIORITY PLAN FOR THE EXPENDITURE OF PARK BOND FUNDS Whereas, Proposition 1 was passed by the electorate on June 4, 1974, entitled the State Beach, Park, Recreational and Historical Facilities Bond Act of 1974, and Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of the Bond Act, the amount of Eighty Six Thousand Five Hundred and Ninteen ($86,519.00) Dollars is allocated to the City of Tustin for the purpose of carrying out the objectives of the Act, and Whereas, the City of Tustin, by voter approval of a General Obligation Bond in 1971 and cooperative agreement with the Board of Supervisors of Orange County and its agencies did aquire eight acres of land for a park site located at Prospect and Beneta Way in the City of Tustin, and Whereas, public funds are required for the development of said park site; NOW THEREFORE BE- IT RESOLVED that the City of Tustin Planning Commission finds that: 1. The proposed Prospect-Beneta Way Park Site Development is in conformance with the adopted Land Use and Recreation Elements of the Tustin Area General Plan. 2. That said park site will be developed, operated and maintained within the City of Tustin Parks and Recreation System by the City Parks and Recreation Department~ and Public Works Maintenance Department. 3. That said park development is granted a Negative Declaration from the requirement of an Environmental Impact Report on the basis of the Drojec~ enhancement of the physical environment with n~ adverse environmental impact. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Commission, through the auspices and endorsement of the City Council of Tustin, hereby petitions the Board of Supervisors of Orange County to-establish the Prospect-Beneta Park Develop- ment as the Number One (1) Priority for expenditures of the 1974 Parki~Bond Act revenues for park development in the City of Tustin for fiscal year 1975-76 funding.
