The Planning Commission of the City of Tustin does hereby resolve as follows: 1. The Planning Commission finds and determines: a. That the Planning Commission has initiated the following Zone Changes: 1) Zone Change 74-2 - Zoning reclassifi from the R-3 '"M~ltiple Family Reside District to the P & I "Public and Insti- tutional'' District for the subject prop~ ertY3~ located at 1171 Laguna Road known. as Tustin High School 2i Zone Change 74-3- zoning reclassifica~"~'~i~ bion' fro'mL the "~" "Unclassified" District to the P & I "Public and Institutional" District for the subject property located at 15571 Williams Street, known as Robert Heideman Elementary School· 3) Zone Change 74-4 - zoning reclassifica~i~/~ tion' from the R-1 "Single Family Residenj tial" District to P & I "Public and Insti- tutional'' District for the property · located at 13601 Browning Avenue, knOW~l.~ as C. E. Utt Intermediate School 4) Zone Change 74-5 - zoning reclassifica-~''~ tion fro~ the U-"Unclassified" District~ to the P & I "Publzc and Instztutzonal ~. District for the property located at 1701 San Juan Street, known as San Juani~ Elementary School. 5) Zone Change 74-6 - Zoning reclassfica- ~ion from the R-'i "single Family~'Residen-~ tial" District to the P & I "Public and' Inst~tut~ona District for the property located at 14392 Browning Avenue, known '~ as W. R. Nelson Elementary School· 6) Zone Change 74-7 - Zoning reclassifica- tion from the E-4' & R-1 "Single Family Residential" District to the P & I "Public and Institutional" District for the property located at 14741 North "B'' ~ Street, known as Helen Estock Elementary School. 7) Zone Change 74-9 - Zoning reclassifica- tion from the E-4 "Residential Estate" District to the P & I "Public and Insti- tutional'' District.for the p~operty 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 30 31 32 located on the southeast corner of Prospect Avenue and Beneta Way, known as the future Prospect-Beneta Park. 8) Zone Change 74-10 - Zoning reclassifi- cation from the U "Unclassified" Distri__ to the P & I "Public and Institutional" District for the property located at 1362 Mitchell Avenue, known as the Benjamin Elementary School. b. That a public hearing was duly called, noticed and held on said applications; c.That these zone changes should be granted for the following reasons: 1) Said Zone Changes will bring the zoning of the subject properties into confor- mance with the Tustin Area General Plan as adopted by the Tustin City Council. 2) That said Zone Changes would be in com- pliance with Section 65860 of the State Planning and Zone Law. 3) That said properties properly belong in the P & I "Public and Institutional" District. 4) The proposed Zone Changes wOuld be in conformance with the Tustin General Plan. d. The proposed Zone Changes will have no impaCt upon the environment and a Negative Declara- tion has been filed for these Zone Changes. 2. The Planning Commission hereby recommends to the City Council approval of Zone Change Application,: Nos. 74-2 through 74-7, 74-9, and 74-10. PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission, held on the 24th day of June, 1974.
