AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA,
DESIGNATING NEWPORT AVENUE IN THE CITY OF TUSTIN
AS A COUNTY HIGHWAY.
The City Council of the City of Tustin, California
does ordain as follows:
Section 1: Under the authority of Section 1700,
Article 3, Chapter 9, Division 2 of the California Streets
and Highways Code, State of California, the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Orange have declared by Resolution that
Newport Avenue, between 400 feet Southerly of the Santa Ana
Freeway and Fourth Street in the City of Tustin, County of!.
Orange, State of California, to be a County Highway.
Section 2: Under the authority 0f Section 1701,
Article 3, Chapter 9, Division 2 of the Streets and Highways
Code, State of C~lifornia, by this Ordinance, the City of Tustin,
County of Orange, State of California, does hereby consent that this
highway namely, Newport Avenue between 400 feet Southerly of the
Santa Ana Freeway and Fourth Street shall become s county highway
with respect to its construction, maintenance, improvements and
repair.
Section 5: The congent granted by Section 2 of this
Ordinance shall remain in effect until the County of Orange
under the authority of Section 1704, Article 3, Chapter 9,
Division 2 of the Streets and Highways Code, State of California,
shall by.Resolution relinquish i'ts jurisdiction over said street at
which time said street will again revert to the Jurisdiction
of the City. ~
Section 4: That the City ~Council hereby finds and
determines that the enactment of this Ordinance as an emergency
urgency measure is required for the preservation of public hea~th
and welfare, and this Ordinance shall go into effect immediately
upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at s regular meeting of the'City Council
of thel City of Tustin, California, held on the 2nd day of August,
1965.

passed and adopted at s regular meeting of the City Council, held on
the 2nd day of august, 1965, by the following vote.
