RESOLUTION NO. 1362
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TUSTIN, GRANTING A USE PERMIT ON APPLI-
CATION NO. U.P. 73-15, OF FIRESTONE TIRE &
RUBBER COMPANY
The Planning Commission of the City of Tustin does
hereby resolve as .follows:
1. The Planning Commission finds and determines:
a) That a proper application (No. U.P. 73-15)
was filed on behalf of Firestone Tire &
Rubber Company for a Use Permit to allow
a retail and wholesale automotive.parts;
accessories and service on the property
located at 695 E1 Camino Real.
b) That a public hearing was duly called, noticed
and held on said application;
c) That establishment, maintenance and operation
of the use applied for will not, under the
'circumstances of this case, be detrimental
to 'the health, safety, morals, comfort or
general welfare of the persons residing or
working in t]~e neighborhood of such proposed
use, evidenced by the following findings:
i) Subject use is a continuation and renovation
of a prior existing use.
ii) The application of development' standards to
an existing property will contribute to the
compatibility of the use with other activities
within the general area.
d) That the establishment, maintenance and operation
of the use applied for will not be injurious or
detrimental to the property and improvements in
the neighborhood of the subject property, nor to
the general welfare of the City of Tustin, and
should be granted.
e) Proposed development shall be in accordance with
the development policies adopted by the City
Council, Uniform Building Codes as administered by
the Building Official, Fire Code as administered
by the Fire Chief, and street improvement require-
ments as administered by the City Engineer.
f) A negative environment impact declaration has been
made as a categorical exemption.
2. The Planning Commission hereby grants a Use Permit,
as applied for, to allow the retail and wholesale
sales and service of automobile parts and accessories
subject to the following conditions:

a) Staff approval of wall signs, landscaping,
lighting, and building colors in accordance
with the policies as contained in Resolution No.
73-35.
b) The prohibition of outside storage or display of
products,~repair services and free-standing signs.
c) Strict compliance wit~ the City of Tustin Sign
Ordinance and prohibition of banners and temporary
promotional signs without a permit having first
been obtained.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Planning
Commission, held on the 10th day of September 1973 , 1973.
