RESOLUTION NO. 1302
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN GRANTING A USE PERMIT ON APPLICATION NO.
UP-72-398, OF GLADYS L. CARSON
The Planning Commission of the City of Tustin does hereby
~esolve as follows:
1. The Planning Commission finds and determines as follo%~:..
a) That a proper application (No. UP-72-398) was fi~,
on behalf of Gladys L. Carson for a Use Permit to
permit a table tennis recreation facility, includSr~_-
retail sales of allied equipment, in an existing ~-~-~-
mercial structure, on the property described in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated~here-~-
by this reference as though set forth herein in
b) That a public hearing was duly called, noticed ar~
held on said application;
c) That establishment, maintenance and operation of -_~a
use applied for will not, under the circumstances
this case, be detrimental to the health, safety,
comfort or general welfare of the persons residin~
working in the neighborhood of such proposed use,
denced by the following findings:
1) That the proposed use would be appropriate an~
compatible to the surrounding area and uses;
2) That this use activates a facility which has =---~-
vacant for some time; and,
·
3) That ~his use is less objectionable than previ~
uses and would fill a recreational need of
ar ea.
d) That the establishment, maintenance and operation
the use applied for will not be injurious or detri-
mental to the property and improvements in the ne~_--k-
borhood of the subject property, nor to the gener=_2
welfare of the City of Tustin, and should be granc~.
e) Final development plans shall require the review
approval of the Development Preview Commission.
f) That said proposal is in conformance with the Ope_~
Space-Recreation-Conservation Elements of the Tu~---
Area General Plan, and a trivial effect upon the
vironment.
2. ~he Planning Commission hereby grants a Use Permit, a~
applied for, to permit a table tennis recreation facility, inc2~-
ing retail sales of allied equipment, in an existing commercia5
structure Subject to the following conditions:
a) That a master plan of site and structural redeve!9~r
ment be approved by the Development Preview
incorporating landscaping, decorative walls
and materials, and signing; and

b)
That those items, incorporated in this approved
which the Development Preview Commission feels
an immediate hardship on the applicant or tenant, be
postponed for one year, subject to the posting of a
bond or cash deposit with the City to guarantee
installation and completion at the end of that one
year period, in the- event the proposed use continues
in business.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Planning Cc=-
mission, held on the~27th day of November, 1972.
