HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC RES 1223 4 ? 8 9 10 11 20 RESOLUTION NO. 1223 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, RECOMMENDING AGAINST PREZONING ON APPLICATION PZ-71-129 OF ORANGE COAST CONSTRUCTION COMPANY. The Planning Commission of the City of Tustin does ,, hereby resolve as follows: 1. The Planning Commission finds and determines: a) That a proper application (No. PZ-71-129) has been filed on behalf of'Orange Coast Construc- tion Company for a prezone change from the Orange County R-4 District to the City of Tustin P2C R-3 (2000) District of the pro- perty described as those'portions of Lots 17 and 18 of Block 12, of Irvine Subdivision, as shown~on a map thereof recorded in Book 1, page 88 of Miscellaneous Maps, Orange County, California. b) That a p~blic hearing was duly called, noticed and held ,on said application; c) That a prezone change change should not be granted for the following reasons: 1) The r,equested increase in density is not in accordance with the indications of the Tustin Area General Plan; 2) That said requested density would not be approPriate to the surrounding area; and, 3) That past Planning Commission policy, in- volving both County and City requests for incre~ased densities in this area, has con- sistently been to inhibit such actions. 2. The Planning Commission hereby recommends to the City Council denial of prezone change application No. PZ-71-129 from the Orange County R-4 District to the City of Tustin P-C R-3 (2000) District. PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission held on the 28th day of June, 1971~.
