RESOLUTION NO. 1223
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TUSTIN, RECOMMENDING AGAINST PREZONING
ON APPLICATION PZ-71-129 OF ORANGE COAST
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY.
The Planning Commission of the City of Tustin does
,,
hereby resolve as follows:
1. The Planning Commission finds and determines:
a) That a proper application (No. PZ-71-129) has
been filed on behalf of'Orange Coast Construc-
tion Company for a prezone change from the
Orange County R-4 District to the City of
Tustin P2C R-3 (2000) District of the pro-
perty described as those'portions of Lots
17 and 18 of Block 12, of Irvine Subdivision,
as shown~on a map thereof recorded in Book 1,
page 88 of Miscellaneous Maps, Orange County,
California.
b) That a p~blic hearing was duly called, noticed
and held ,on said application;
c) That a prezone change change should not be
granted for the following reasons:
1) The r,equested increase in density is not
in accordance with the indications of the
Tustin Area General Plan;
2) That said requested density would not be
approPriate to the surrounding area; and,
3) That past Planning Commission policy, in-
volving both County and City requests for
incre~ased densities in this area, has con-
sistently been to inhibit such actions.
2. The Planning Commission hereby recommends to the
City Council denial of prezone change application
No. PZ-71-129 from the Orange County R-4 District
to the City of Tustin P-C R-3 (2000) District.
