ORDINANCE NO. 270
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED
"BRYAN-NEWPORT ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF
TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA.
BE IT 0RDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUST I N:
WHEREAS, on the 16th day of November, 1964,
the Council of the City of Tustin did pass and adopt
Resolution No. 749, giving notice of the proposal to
annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of Tustin,
said territory being therein designated as "BRYAN-
NEWPORT ANNEElaTION, said Resolution describing the
boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS~, said Resolution contained a notice of
the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the
City of Tustin would hear protests made by any person
owning real property within the territory proposed to
be annexed, the time of said hearing being not less than
forty nor more than sixty days from the date of passage
of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, on the 4th day of January, 1965, at
the hour of 7:30 o'clock, P.M., in the Tustin Youth Center,
in the City of Tustin, County of Orange, State of California,
said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed
in said Resolution for hearing protests to the said City
Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the
proposed annexation, and did determine that protests had
not been made by 'the owners of one-half of the value of
the privately owned territory proposed to be annexed, as
shown by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public
owners of lone-half of the value ,of the publicly owned
territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said
legislative body; and '
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the
City of Tustin, and is uninhabited territory in the County
of Orange;

NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of
Tustin does hereby approve the annexation of the territory
hereinafter described~to the City of Tustin, and does
hereby further ordain that the said territory be and it
is hereby annexed to the City of Tustin.
That said territory, the annexation of which
to the City of Tustin is hereby approved, is all that
territory situate in the County of Orange, State of California,
more particularly described as follows:
COmmencing at an angledpoint to the existing
City boundary of the City of Tustin as per the Bryan-Red
Hill Annexation described in Ordinance No. 172, said
angle point being the intersection of.the Northwest line
of Lot 17, Block 12, Irvine's Snbdivision as shown on a
map thereof recorded in Book l, Page 88, Miscellaneous
Maps, Records of Orange County, California with a line
parallel to an~ 33.00 feet Southwesterly of as measured
at right angles to the Northeast line of said Lot 17;
thance following along said City boundary S 50° 00' 40'
E along said parallel line, a distance of 660 feet, more
or less, to the Southwesterly prolongation of the
Northwesterly line of the Southeasterly half of the
-- Southwesterly half of Lot 16, of said Block 12;1 thence
continuing along said City boundary N 39° 59' 20' E
_. along said Southwesterly prolongation and said Northwesterly
line, a distance of 693 feet, more or less, to the center
of said Lot 16, said center being an angle point in
said Bryan-Red Hill Annexation, said center also being
an angle point in the First Street Annexation to the
City of Tustin as per Ordinance No. 204; thence following
along said First Street Annexation boundary N 39° 59' 20"
E along the Northwest line of the East one-~uarter of
said Lot 16, a distance of 660 feet, more or less, to
the.most Northerly corner of said East-one-quarter, said
corner also being an angle point in said First Street
Annexation boundary; thenc~ continuing along said First
Street Annexation boundary S 50° 00' 40" E along the
Northeast line of said East one-quarter, a distance of
660 feet, more or less, to the Easterly corner of said
Lot 16, said corner also being the most Southerly corner
of Lot l, of said Block 12, said corner being an angle
point in said First Street Annexation boundary and also
being a point on the boundary of said Bryan-Red Hill
Annexation; thence following along said Bryan-Red H~ll
Annexation boundary N 39° 59' 20" E along the Southeast
line of said Lot l, a distance of 330 feet, more or less,
to the Easterly corner of the Southwest one-half of the
~'~ Southwest one-half of said Lot l; thence leaving said
Bryan-Red Hill Annexation boundary line N 50° 00' 40" W
' along the Northeast line of said Southwest one-half, a
distance of 1320 feet, more or less, to a point on the
Northwest line of said Lot l, said Northwest line also
being on the existing boundary of the City of Tustin as
per the Eastside Annexation described in Ordinance No. lll;
thence following along said Eastside Annexation boundary
S 39° 57' 46" W along the Northwest line of said Lots l, 16
and 17, a distance of 1,683 feet, more or less, to the
point ob beginning.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Tustin, California,
held on the 18th day of January, 1965.

does hereby certify that the whole number of the members
of the City Council of the City of Tustin is five; that
the above and foregoing Ordinance was duly and regularly
introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council
held on the 4th day of January, 1965, and was given its
second reading and duly passed and adopted at a regular
meeting held on the 18th day of January, 1965, by the
following vote:~
