RESOLUTION NO. 1212
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TUSTIN, GRANTING A USE PERMIT ON APPLICA-
TION NO. UP-71-360 OF THE FIRST SOUTHERN BAPTIST
CHURCH OF TUSTIN.
The Planning Commission of the City of Tustin does hereby
resolve as follows:
1. The Planning Commission finds and determines as
fo llows:
a) That a proper application No. UP-71-360 was
filed on behalf of First Southern Baptist
Church forl a Use Permit to allow the develop-
ment of a church facility and auxiliary uses
in the R-1 District, subject to annexation
by the City of Tustin, on that prop.erty lo-
cated approximately 594 feet on the southwest
side of Irvine Boulevard and approximately
313 feet on the northwest side of Red Hill
Avenue.
b) That a public hearing was duly called, noticed
and held on said application.

C) That establishment, maintenance and operation
of the use applied for will not, .under the
circumstances of this case, be detrimental to
the health, safety, morals, comfort or general
welfare of the persons, residing or working in
the neighborhood of such proposed use, evidenced
by the following finding:
That the proposed church and allied uses, and
its future expansion, are deemed appropriate
in the R-1 District and to the area in the
immediate vicinity of subject property.
d) That the establishment, maintenance and opera-
tion of the use applied for will not be injurious
or detrimental to the property and improvements
in the neighborhood of the subject property, nor
to the general welfare of the City of Tustin,
and should be granted.
e) Proposed development shall be in accordance with
the development policies adopted by the City
Council, Uniform Building Codes as administered
by the Building Official, Fire Code as adminis-
tered by the Fire Chief, and street improvement
requirements as administered by the City Engineer.

f) Final development plans for all phases of devel-
opment shall require the review and approval of
the Development Preview Commission.

2. The Planning Commission hereby grants a Use Permit,
as applied for, to allow the development of a church facility and
auxiliary uses in the R-1 District, and subject to the following
conditions:
a) Subject to annexation by the City of Tustin.
b) That a 6'8" block wall be constructed on the
southerly and westerly perimeters of the pro-
perty within a six month period from the time
of the relocation of the church structure on
on said site;
c) Recommendations and report's of the Fire Chief,
City Engineer and Building Official are referred
to and made a part hereof;
d) That precise plans of any phase of future develop-
ment, in accordance with the Master Plan of
Development, as submitted with this application,
shall be reviewed and approved by the Planning
Commission prior to the issuance of a Building
Permit.
PASSED AND ADOPTED' at a regular meeting of the Planning
Commission, held on the 26th day of April, 1971.
