RESOLUTION NO. 1210
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TUSTIN, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AMENDMENTS
TO THE SIGN ORDINANCE RELATIVE TO SIGNS AFFIXED TO
VEHICLES.
The Planning Commission of the City of Tustin, Californ
hereby resolve as follows:
That after public hearing duly called, noticed and held,
the Planning Commission recommends to the City Council adoption of
amendments to the Sign Ordinance, Ordinance No. 438, relative to
signs affixed to vehicles, to read as follows: ,
Article V, Section 4, subparagraph a) is amended to
read as follows:
a) Any sign erected for the purpose of advertising a
product, event, person or subject not related to
the premises upon which said sign is located,
except directional signs, is prohibited, including
any sign maintained or affixed to any vehicle
which is used primarily to support or display
such. sign while parked on public or private pro-
perty, other than for the purposes of lawfully
making deliveries or sales of merchandise or
rendering services from such vehicle.
Article v, Section 4 be further amended by the addition
thereto of subparagraph i), to read as follows:
i) Business signs on or affixed to trucks, automobiles,
trailers or other vehicles, used primarily to sup-
port or display such signs while parked on public
or private property, other than for the purpose of
lawfully making deliveries or sales of merchandise
or rendering services from such vehicles.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Planning
2ommission of the City of Tustin, California, held on the 12th
day of April
1971.

A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN, APPROVING PRECISE PLANS OF DEVELOPMENT
(PHASE I) , ON THE APPLICATION OF STEELCASE, INC.
The Planning .Commission of the City of Tushin does
hereby resolve as follows:
1. The Planning Commission finds and determines:
a) That a proper application was filed on behalf of
Steelcase, Inc. for precise plans of development
(Phase I) on the property as shown on a Parcel
Map recorded in Book 28,' Pa~e 40 of Parcel Maps,
Records of Orange County, California.
b) That establishment, maintenance and operation of
the use applied for will not, under, the circum-
stances of this case, be detrimental to the health,
safety, morals, comfort or general welfare of
the persons residing or working in the neighbor-
hood of such proposed use, evidenced by the
following findings:
1. That the use in question - manufacturing of
office furniture - is permitted in the PC
(Planned Community - Industrial) District;
and,
2. The precise plans as herein approved are in
conformance with the site development
standards of that District.
c) That the establishment, maintenance and operation
of the use applied for will not be injurious or
detrimental to the property and improvements in
the neighborhood of the subject property, nor to
the general welfare of the City of Tustin, and
should be granted.
d) Proposed development shall be in accordance with
the development policies adopted by the City
Council, Uniform Building Codes as administered
by the Building Official, Fire Code as adminis-
tered by the Fire Chief, and street improvement
requirements as administered by the City
Engineer.
e) Final development plans shall require the review
and approval of the Development Preview
Commission.
