A RESOLUTION OF The planning commission of the
city of tustin, california, granting a variance
on application no. v 69-251 of the metz company
on behalf of the tandy corporation.

The Planning Con%mission of the City of Tustln, California,

does hereby resolve as follows:
1. The Planning Commission hereby finds and determines:
a) That a proper application (No. V. 69-251) was
filed on behalf of METZ COMPA~Y on behalf of the
TANDY .CORPORATION for a variance to permit~ certaln
signs on the property described in E~hibit A
attached hereto.
b) That a p~blic hearing was duly called, noticed
and held on said 'application.
c) That because of exceptional circumstances app!icabi~
to the subject property the strict application
the Ordinance is found to deprive subj.ect prcperuy
of. privileges enjoyed by other properties in
vicinity and under similar circumstances.
d) That th® Variance is subject to such conditions as
will assure that the adjustments hereby authorlzed
will not Constitute a grant of special privileges
inconsistent with the limitations upon other uro-_er-
ties in the vicinity and district in which th~ '
subject' property is located.
e) That the proposed variance would not be detrimen-~=~
to adjacent properties or uses.
2. A variance is hereby granted to permit a total sign
area for subject business.~of 148 square feet and one (1) stationa_--.~-
free standing sign within the required setback having a maximum heigku
of 21.5 feet and maximum total area (all sides) of 100 square feet,
subject to the condition tha~ the applicant shall cause the side~a!k
improvements to be constructed along the NeWPort frontage.
PASSED AND .ADOPTED' at a regular meeting of the Planning
Commission of the City of Tustin, California, held on the 11th day of August,
1969.
