A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING A VARIANCE ON APPLI-
CATION NO. V-69-237 OF M. H. DEVINE, ON BEHALF OF
HUMBLE OIL AND REFINING COMPANY

The Planning Commission of the City of Tustin, California,
does hereby resolve as follows:
1. The Planning COmmission finds and .determines:
a) That a proper application (No. V-69-237) was filed
by M. H. Devine, on behalf of HUMBLE OIL AND REFIN-
ING COMPANY, for a variance to permit the removal
of two (2) existing non-conforming pole signs to be
replaced by one(l) non-conforming pole sign, with
a height of 28'2", an area of 93 Sq.ft. each side,
total area of 186 sq. ft., located within the re-
quired setback area, and revolving, on the prop-
erty described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto.
b) That a public hearing was duly called, noticed and
held on said application.
c) That the adjustment hereby authorized will not con-
stitute a grant of special privilege inconsistent
with the limitations upon other properties in the
vicinity and district in which the Subject property
is situated.
d) That because of special circumstances applicable to
the subject property, including size, shape,
topography, location or surroundings, the strict
application of the Zoning Ordinance will deprive
subject property' of privileges enjoyed by other
properties in the vicinity, 'and under identical zone
classification.
e) The variance should be 6ranted.
2. A variance is hereby granted as applied for, subject to
the following conditions:
a) That the sign have a maximum height of 28'2".
b) That the sign have a maximum area of 186 sq. ft.
c) That the sign be stationary.
d) That the presently-existing signs and canopies be
removed.
e) That two (2) street trees'be installed on Tustin
Avenue frontage as per the Master Street Tree Plan.
PASSED AND ADOPTED .at a regular meeting of the Planning
Commission of the City of Tustin, California, held on the 24th day
of MARCH, 1969.

East of its intersection with the West line of Lot 14 if extended°
South, said point being also the Southeast corner of that certain
parcel of land conveyed by O. W. Humphrey to C. A. Miller .and
Elizabeth Miller, his wife, as joint tenants, by deed dated November
8, 1922 and recorded November 8, 1922 in Book 442, Page 155 of
Deeds; thence ·North 0o40 '40" West on said East Line of said parcel
so conveyed to Miller, 233.00'; thence North 89o07'30'' East parallel
with the centerline of Fi'rst Street, 250 60'
