A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING A VARIANCE

ON APPLICATION NO. V-69-230 OF H. E. M--OHNIKE

The Planning Commission of the City of Tustin, California,
..
does hereby resolve as fOllows:
1. The Planning Commission finds and determines:
a)
That a proper application (No. V-69-230) was
filed on behalf of H. E. Mohnike, for a variance
to permit utilization of the existing pole and
roof signs on the property described in Exhibit A,
attached hereto and incorporated herein by this
reference.
¢)
That a public hearing was duly called, noticed and
held on said application.
That the adj6stment hereby authorized will nOt
constitute a grant of special privilege incon-
sistent with the limitations upon other prop-
erties in the vicinity and district in which the
subject property is situated;
d)
That because of special circumstances applicable
to the subject property, including size,' shape,
topography, location or surroundings, the strict
application of the Zoning Ordinance will deprive
the subject properties of privileges enjoyed by
other properties in the vicinity and under iden-
tical zone classification,
2. The Planning Commission hereby grants a variance to
permit:
a)
Pole Sign - stationarY, 20 foot height, 6' X 6',
36 sq. ft. each side, total area 72 sq. ft., lo-
cated in setback' area.
b) Roof Sign - 5' X 4',.20 sq. ft. each side, total
area 40 sq. ft.
c) Wall Sign - 3'6" X 8' 28 sq ft
subject to the following conditions:
a)
Installation of three (3) approved street trees,
a street light, and granting of street right-of-
way for McFadden Street in accordance with the
Master Plan of Arterial Highways.
If a roof sign is not erected as permitted above,
the space designated for said sign on the false
chimney shall be covered with a material accept-
'able to the Architectural Committee.
PASSED AND AD, OPTED at a regular meeting of the Planning
Commission of the City of Tustin, California, held on the. 10th day of

· That portion of lot "K" of the Stafford and Tustin TraCt, in
the county of Orange, state of California, as per map recorded
in book 2 pages 618 and 619 of Miscellaneous Records, in the
office of the county recorder of Los Angeles County, California,
described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the easterly prolongation of
the South line of said lot with the center line of that certain
unnamed street, adjoining said l~t on the East (knovm as
Williams Street); thence North 0 $5' 15" West along said cen-
ter.~line to a line parallel with and northerly 190.00 feet
fro~ the monumented center line of McFadden Street, as per
map filed in book 22 page 46 of Record of Surveys, in the
office of the county recorder of said Orange County; thence
South 88° 56' 0~5" West 183.00 feet along said parallel line;
thence South 0v 45' 15" East parallel with said center line
of Williams Street to the South line of said lot; thence east-
erly 183.00 feet to the point of beginning..
