A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING A VARIANCE
ON APPLICATION V-68-219 OF TRIANGLE INVESTMENT
COMPANY
The Planning Con~nission of the City of Tustin, California,
hereby re~olve as follows:
1) The Planning Cor~mission finds and determines that:

m) A proper application, (No. V-68-219) was filed on
behalf of TRIANGLE %NVES~LE~f COMPAA~f to perm.it mod-
~fication of an existing nonconforming~ pole sign~ in-
creasing the sign area by 216 square feet, and exceed-
ing the permitted height by 9 feet 6 inches, on the
property described in Exhibit A, and incorporated herein
by this reference.
A public hearing was duly called, noticed and held on
said application.
The adjustment applied for will not constitute a grant
of special privilege inconsistent with the limitations
upon other properties in the vicinity and district in
which the subject property is situated. ·

Because of special circumstances, applicable to' the
subject property, including size, shape, topography,
location'or surroundings, the strict application of
the Zoning Ordinance will deprive the subject prope_rty
of .privileges enjoyed by other properties in the vicinity
~nder identical zone classifications.

That the variance applied for should be granted.
2) The Planning Commission hereby grants a variance to permit
modification of existing nonconforming pole sign on the subject property which
~dentifie$ the Newport Plaza Shopping Center to increase the sign area by 216
$~uare feet and =o permit the sign to exceed the permitted height by 9 feet 6 inches.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Plarming Commission,
held on the 9th day of December, 1968.
