A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TUSTIN GRANTING A VARIANCE ON
APPLICATION NO. V-68-224 OF FOREST OLDON.

The Planning Commission of the City of Tustin does hereby
resolve as follows:

1. The Planning Con~nission finds and determines that:
a) Proper application (No. V-68-224) was filed on
behalf of Forest Olson, to permit a pole sign which
would be a third pole sign in a commercial complex
within the required front setback, and exceeds the
permitted height for a pole sign;~for two wall signs
which exceed the total area permitted on the site,
on the property described in Exhibit A, attached
hereto and incorporated herein by this reference.
b) That a hearing was duly Called, noticed and held
on said application;
¢) That because of exceptional circumstances applicable
to the subject property, th~ strict apPlication of
the Zoning Ordinance~is found to deprive the subject
property of privileges enjoyed by other properties
in the vicinity under identical Circumstances.
d) That the variance should be granted, subject to
much conditions as will insure that the adjustments
will not constitute a grant of special privilege
inconsistent with the limitations upon other properties
in the vicinity and district in which the subject
property is located.
2. The Planning Commission hereby grants a variance within
the limitations of the application, as follows:
a) For a'third pole sign of a height (exclusive of
decorative spire of approximate 6'6") of not more
than 27'6". Said pole sign shall have an area of
102 square feet and shall be located within the
required setback.
b) Two wall signs, each having a maximum area of
54 square feet.
¢) That the maximum area for the three signs per-
mitted on the premises shall not exceed 312
square feet.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular ~meeting of the Planning Commission
held on the 25th day of November 1968.
