PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Tustin, California, held on the 28 day Of August , 1967. To establish a standard policy relative to the erection of Tract and Directional Signs constructed in untncorl~rated territory adjacent to Tustin. 2. To establish a consistent policy for c~enting on county aPplications for the construction of the above ~ntioned signs. DEFIIfITXONS: TRACT SIGN An advertising sign erected within the boundaries '~'f a subdivision or development to advertise the first sale or rental of the units constructed therein. ~IP~C?ION..AL SIGN - An advertising sign erected outside of the :boundaries of a subdivision or development.for the purpose of directing persons to said subdivision or development .for the first sale or rental of units constructed therein. Tra..c..t signs A. Number pemitted - two (2), B. Area permitted - 32 square feet (all sides). C. Naximum height - 14 feet. D. Location - within the subdivision or development boundaries. E, Time Limit - until the first sale or rental is completed. D_irectional Signs _ A. Number permitted - two (2). B. Area permitted -32 square feet (all sides). C. liaximmn height -. 14 feet. Location - on major or secondary thoroughfares, in commercial or industrial districts and within one (1) mile of the development being advertised. E. Copy - limited to directional and price range information. F. Time Limit - One (1) year. A six month extension may be granted by the Building Director. Further extensions must be approved by the Planning Commission. Removal - a one hundred dollar (3100) bond shall be posted guaranteeing removal of each sign. H. Directional signs in residential districts and additional directional signs, in excess of two (2), on major and secondary thoroughfares for un- usually obscured developments shall be subject to the granting of a Use Permit by the Planning Comntssion. -2- 1 4 5 6 1967.
