A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING A
VARIANCE ON APPLICATION NO. V 64-152 OF
LA SHELLE.
The Planning Commission of the City of Tustln, California,
resolves as follows:
Section 1: The Planning Commission finds and determines
that a proper application (No. V 64-152) was filed by La Shelle
to permit a school on the oroperty described as follows:
Commencing at a Point on the East line of the Subdivision
of the Felipe Yorba Tract, as shown on a'Map recorded in
Book 4, Page 206 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Los
Angeles County, California, said point being Southerly
700.57 feet from the Southeast corner of Lot one of said
Tract, said point also being on the West line of the
certain 40 foot strip of land known as Yorba Street; and
running from said ooint of beginning Southerly along said
East line of the Fellpe Yorba Tract 150 feet; thence
Westerly along a line of 150 f~eet South of and parallel
to the South line of that parcel of land conveyed by
deed recorded March 21st, 1919, in Book 330, Page 387
of Deeds, 258 feet; thence-Northerly along a line
parallel to the Easterly line of said Felipe Yorba Tract
150 feet to the South line of that parcel of land
conveyed by deed recorded March 21st, 1919, in Book 330,
PaEe 387 of Deeds, thence Easterly along said South line
258 feet to the point of beginning.
Being a portion of that parcel of land conveyed by deed
recorded March 21st, 1919, in Book 330, page 388 of
Deeds, Records of Orange County, California.
Section 2: The Plannln~ Commission finds and determines
that a public hearing was duly called, noticed and held to
consider said application.
S_ection .~: The Planning Commission finds and determines
that the limitations of the zone in which said property is
located are more burdensome on it than on other properties in
said zone and area due to its geographical characteristics, and
that said zone use would not be detrimental to the subject
property, surrounding properties, adjacent uses, nor to the
general plan of the City, and. should be granted.
$.ection 4: Said vsriance, as applied for, is hereby
granted to permit a school on the subject property, subject to
the following conditions:
1. That all existing landscapinE be properly
maintained, especially that protion which faces onto Yorba
Street.
2. That present parking stalls be improved and
maintained.
3. That a deposit for improvement costs in the
amount to be determined by the City Engineer shall be sub-
mitted to the City for ultimate widening of Yorba Street.
4. That the building meet all requirements of the
Fire and BuildlnE Departments.
5. That a six foot (6') sol,id block wall shall be
constructed as shown on approved Plot Plan marked "A" and filed
with the Clerk of the Commission.
6. Applicant may construct and maintain one double
faced sign, not larger than 3 feet (3') by 4 feet (4') containing
the name of the school.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Planning Commission of the City of Tustin, California,
held on the 9th day of November, 1964.
