HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC RES 727RESOLUTION NO. 727 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT ON APPLICATION NO. U.P. 64-173 OF STRATIN. The Planning Commission of the City of Tustin, California, resolves as follows:~ Section 1: , The Planning Commission finds and determines that a proper application (No. 64-173) for a directional sign on the property at the southerly corner of Newport Blvd. between Mitchell and Freeway (approximately 14170 Newport Avenue) more particularly described as follows: That portion of Lot 33 in Block ll of Irvine Subdivision, in the City of Tustin, Co. of Orange as per mao recorded in Book l, page 88 of misc. maps, in the office of County Recorder of said county described as follows: beginning at a point in the N.W.LY line of Tract #1863, as shown on a map there recorded in book 54, page 20 of mlsR. maps, records of ~range Co. distance thereon No. 39v50'30" E. 385.70 Ft. from the intersection of the S.W.ly prolongation of said N.W.ly line with the c/1 of the st, 66.00 feet in width, now known as Mitchell Ave., adjoining said tract #1863, on the SW; thence N 50°09'30"W 136.00 ft. more or less, to the N.W.ly line of said lot 33; thence N. 39o49'30" E. along said N.W.ly line, 124 ft. to the most W ly corner of parcel i of the land conveyed to Philip A. Segrais and wife by deed recorded Sept. 28~ 1953 in book 2583 page 507, official records; thence S 50009'30," to Segrais, 136.00 ft., more of less, to the most N ly corner of lot 7 of said tract #1863; thence S. 39°50'30" west along the N.W.ly line of said tract, 124.00 ft. to the point of beginning. ~ectlon 2: The Planning Commission duly called, noticed and held a public hearing on said application. Section 3; The Planning Commission finds and determines that the proposed use would not be deterimental to adjoining property or uses nor to the general plan of the City of Tustin. Section 4: A. Conditional Use Permit to erect a directional sign as applied for, is hereby granted, subject to the following conditions: 1. This permit shall extend for a period of time not to exceed one year from the date of final determination. 2. The sign copy shall be limited to directional information only. 3. The sign shall comply with all requirements of the Tustin Sign Ordinance No. 183. 04 4. The applicant shall remove the sign upon the expiration of the permit at no expense to any public agency. 5. The applicant shall post a one-hundred dollar ($100.00) bond guaranteeing the removal of said sign. 6. A building permit shall be obtained for the erection of the sign. 7. The sign shall be located a minimum of 50 feet from the centerllne of Newport Avenue. PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission, held on the 22nd day of June, 1964.
