HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC RES 698RESOLUTION NO. 698 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, INITIATING ZONE CHANGE PROCEEDINGS OF THE PROPERTY OF SIEGEL AND GREENWOOD. The Planning Commission of the City of Tustin, California, does resolve as follows: that proceedings be commenced to rezone the westerly 130 feet of the property hereinafter described from the R-4 to U zone: All that certain land situated in the State of California, County of Orange, described as follows: Commencing at the Southwest corner of Allotment No. I to Leonor Yorba de Rowland by decree in partition of said rancho ren- dered September 12, 1868, and running thence East along the center line of First Street 672 feet to the Southeast corner of the land described in the deed to Lena M. Eaton, recorded in book 184, page 146, Deeds, records of said Orange County; thence North along the East line of said land, and parallel with the center line of Pros- pect Avenue, 723 feet to the Northeast corner of said land, said corner being the true point of beginning of the boundary of the land described herein; thence continuing North along the Northerly pro- longation of the East line of said land of Eaton to the Northerly line of the 50-foot strip of land described in the easement deed to the County of Orange recorded January 31, 1962, in book 5994, page 368, Official Records, in the office of the County Recorder of said Orange County; thence Westerly along said Northerly line to its intersection with the center line of a strip of land formerly known as Poplar Avenue (now abandoned), said center line being the west line of the land described in the deed to Russell R. Caldwell and wife, recorded January 7, 1931, in book 449, page 173, Official Records, in the office of the County Recorder of said Orange County; thence South along said West line to the North line of the land of Lena M. Eaton hereinbefore mentioned; thence East along said North line ll7 feet to the true point of beginning. That portion of Rice's Addition to Tustin, as shown on a map recorded in Book 19, page 26 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, described Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Rice Avenue and the center line of Poplar Avenue, as shown on a Map of a Resubdivision of Rice's Addition to Tustin, recorded in Book l, page 47 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence West along said center line of Rice Avenue 530 feet to the East line of Prospect Avenue; thence North, along said East line of Prospect Avenue, 330 feet; thence East 530 feet to the center line of said Poplar Avenue; thence South along said center line 330 feet to the point of beginning. Excepting therefrom, that portion thereof lying Northerly of the Southerly line of that certain parcel of land described in deed to the County of Orange recorded March 16, 1961, in Book 5657, page 828 of Official Records. PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Tustin, California, held on the 13th day of January, 1964.
