HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC RES 697RESOLUTION NO. 697 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING CHANGE OF ZONE ON APPLICATION NO. Z.C. 64-135 OF SIEGEL AND GREENWOOD. The Planning Commission of the City of Tustin, California, does resolve as follows: Section 1: The Planning Commission finds and determines that a proper application (No. Z.C. 64-135) was filed by Siegel and Greenwood for a change of zone to the C-1 zone of the following described property: All that certain land situated in the State of California, County of Orange, described as follows: Commencing at the Southwest corner of Allotment No. 1 to Leonor Yorba de Rowland by decree in partition of said rancho ren- dered September 12, 1868, and running thence East along the center line of First Street 672 feet to the Southeast corner of the land described in the deed to Lena M. Eaton, recorded in book 184, page 146, Deeds, records of said Orange County; thence North along the East line of said land, and paraI~l with the center line of Prospect Avenue, 723 feet to the Northeast corner of said land, said corner being the true point of beginning of the boundary of the land des- cribed herein; thence continuing North along the Northerly pro- longation of the East line of said land of Eaton to the Northerly line of the 50-foot strip of land described in the easement deed to the County of Orange recorded January 31, 1962, in book 5994 page 368, Official Records, in the office of the County Recorder of said Orange County; thence Westerly along said Northerly line to its intersection with the centerline of a strip of land formerly known as Poplar Avenue (now abandoned), said center line being the west line of the land described in the deed to Russell R. Caldwell and wife, recorded January 7, 1931, in book 449, page 173, Official Records, in the office of the County Recorder of said Orange County; thence South along said West line to the North line of the land of Lena M. Eaton hereinbefore mentioned; thence East along said North line ll7 feet to the true point of beginning. ?hat-'portionof Rice's Addition to Tustin, as shown on a map recorded in Book 19, page 26 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, described Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Rice Avenue and the center line of Poplar Avenue, as shown on a Map of a Resubdivision of Rice's Addition to Tustin, recorded in Book l, page 47 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence West along said center line of Rice Avenue 530 feet to the East line of Prospect Avenue; thence East 530 feet to the center line of said Poplar Avenue; thence South along said center line 300 feet to the point of beginning. Excepting therefrom, that portion thereof lying Northerly of the Southerly line of that certain parcel of land described in 'deed to the County of Orange recorded March 16, 1961 in Book 5657, page 828 of Official Records. Section 2: The Planning Commission duly called, noticed and held a public hearing on said application on January 13, 1964. Section 3: The Planning Commission finds and determines that rezoning of the easterly 517 feet of the subject property to the lO0-C-1-P-15,000 zone would be in the best interests of the subject property, surrounding properties and uses and would be in harmony with the general plan of the City of Tustin. Section 4: The Planning Commission recommends that the easterly 517 feet of the subject property be changed to the 100-C-l-15,000 zone. PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Tustin, California, held on the 13th day of January, 1964.
