ORDINANCE NO. 196
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 87, AND PROVIDING A NEW
SCHEDULE OF BUSINESS LICENSE FEES.
The City Council of the City of Tustin do~s ordain as
follows:
That Section 10, of Ordiaance No, 8~, is he. reby modified l
and amended to read as follows:
Section 10: The fee for ar~V license required by any sub-
section of t~is section shall be that set forth hereinbelow for the
particular business involved. The fee and the duration of the
license shall be annual, semi-annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly or
daily,~ as indicated in this seqtion. The letter "a" following the
fee shall indicate an annual fee; the letter "S" shall indicate a
semi-annual fee; the letter "Q" shall indicate a quarterly fee; the
letter "M" shall indicate a monthly fee; the letter "W" shall ~indi-
cate a weekly fee, and the letter "D" shall indicate a daily fee.

By billboards and signs

provided that no billboard or sign shall
be erected or maintained in the City
without first obtaining a permit from the.

P. rovided that no license shall be required under this
section from any person, firm, or corporation maintaining a regular
place .of business within the City of Tustin and advertising his or
its own line of goods or occupation and paying the regular license
under another section of tl~is Ordinance.'
Further providing that nothing contained in the preceding
subseCtions shall be deemed or construed as applying to the owners pf
real estate, or t~ir agents, in advertising their property for sale
or lease by means of billboards or signs located upon the property
advertised for sale or lease.

of the proffessions hereinabove listed, where a
fee is charged or' compensation is accepted therefor
and ,excluding persons engaged in any of the busi-
nesses mentioned in this section solely ~s an
employee of the persons conducting such busi-

10.45 In the event that any person, firm or
corporation is conducting, managing or
carrying on two or more businesses licensed
by this ordi~'~ance, said 'businesses being
under the same management and at the same
location, the license tax to be paid by
such person, firm or corporation shall be
the highest tax herein provided for any one
of such businesses.
The City Council finds and determines that it is necessary
and imperative to provide additional revenue for carrying on
services essential to public health and safety, and therefore
declares this Ordinance an emergency measure, which shall be
in force and effect im~'~mediately.

held on the 17th day of December, 1962.

and adopted at a regular meeting held on the 17th day of December,
