HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC RES 586 RESOLUTION NO. 586 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING A VARIANCE UPON THE APPLICATION ON BEHALF OF HUMBLE OIL & REFINING COMPANY. The Planning Commission of the City of Tustin, California, does resolve as follows' Section 1: The Planning Commission finds and de- termines that a proper application was filed on behalf of HUMBLE OIL & REFINING COMPAN~Z for a granting of a variance for the construction of two pump island canopies and two signs within the set-back lines of First Street and Tustin Avenue on the property at 110 W. Tustin Avenue, being the northwest corner of First Street and Tustin Avenue. ~.e~tion .2: The Plann.ing Commission duly called, noticed and held a public hearing on said application on September 11, 1962, at 7:30 P.M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall in accordance with the Ordinances of the City of Tustin. Se0.t..ion 3: The Planning Commission finds and determines that practical difficulties and necessary hard- ships will result from strict compliance with the provisions of the applicable zoning of said property unless the said variance as applied for is granted, @nd specifically finds that there are exceptional circumst@noes and conditions app- licable to the said property and the intended use which do not apply generally to other property and classifications of use in the same zone; that such variance is necessary for the preservation of a substantial property right of the applicant, in that said property cannot otherwise be utilized; that the granting of said variance will not be deterimental to other property in the neighborhood or to the general plan of the City of Tustin. S..ection 4: The variance as applied for is here- by granted.
