ORDINANCE N0. 194
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING A CURFEW
AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION.
The City Council of the City of ~stin, California,
does ordain as follows:
Section h Curfew -- Generally.
It shaK be unlawful for any' minor under the age of
eighteen years to loiter, id!e~ wander, strol!~ or [~lay in or
upon the oublic streets, highways, ro~ds, alleys, parks, public
buildings, olaces of ~nusement and entertain ent, w~cant lots or
other uns.~-oervised olaces, between the hours of i0:00 F. M. and
daylight of the following day, official city t~.me; provided,
however, that the orovisions of this section do not apply to a
minor accom'oanied by his merit or legal guardian, or where the
minor is upon an emergency errand or legitimate business directed
by his parent or legal guardian.
S Section 2: Same -- Responsibility of oarents or
gmardians.
It shall be unlawful for a~ parent or legal guardian
knowingly to permit, aid, abet or encourage any such minor to
violate any of the ~orovisions of the ~receding section. It shall
be unlawful for any person other than a parent or legal ~ardian
of such monor to accompany such minor in a~ oublic o!ace mentioned
in the ~Dreceding section between the hours therein soecified
'without ghe consent of a parent or legal guardian of such minor.

~- Each owner, agent, manager of keeper of a hotel, boarding-
house, lodg~nghouse, tenement house, motor court, or apartment
house hall 'Mmediately report to the offic e of the chief of
ooiice the oresonce therein of any and all minors, whom he has
reasons to believe to be under the age of eighteen years, unless
such minor or minors is or are accompanied by a oarent or legal
guardian, and in making such report shall state to the office
of the chief of police the name, age, last-known place of abode,
and the names and residences of the parents, guardians or other
custodians of such minor, so far as such ~formation can be
ascertai.ned from said minor or minors, or ~theF~vise.
Section ~: Sime -- Permitting minors to loiter
after hours.
It shall be unlawful within the city for ~.~ proprietor,
keeper, clerk, or a~V other person, having charge or contro~ of
ary cafe, tavern, restaurant, bar, eating place, or oublic dance
hall, to oennit any oerson under the age of eighteen years to loiter
in such public place between the hurs of 10:00 P.M. and
daylight of the following day, un!=~ss such oerson is accomU, anied
by a parent or lei~al guardian.
~c%.~: Same -- penalty for violation of curfew provisions.
Any adult person who shall violate any of the orovisions
of section 1 to ~ shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. i~ ~nor,
who shall violate ~.~ of the provisions of sections i to ~ shall
be eui!ty of a misdemeanor and subject to the provisions of
Chapter 2~ Division 2, of the welfare and institutions Code of
the State.

City of Tustin, California, held on the 3rd day of December, 1962.
