The Planning Commission of the City of Tustin, California,
does hereby resolve as follows'
Section 1' The Planning Commission of the City of Tustin
finds an~ determines that a proper application for rezoning has been
filed by TED FISH and JOHN A SIEGEL, on behalf of CHARLES A. PATTON,
the owner of property on the south side of McFadden Street, approxi-
mately 810 feet easterly of Tustin Avenue, and having frontage upon
Newport Boulevard, more particularly described as' A portion of
Section 16, Township 5 South, Range 9 West, San Bernardino Base and
Meridian, in the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana; a portion of the F.
W. Koll Allotment, County of Orange, State. of California, as more
fully set forth on a Map submitted by the applicant and on file
with the Planning Commission,~said property being classified as
County R-4, and as Tustin U.
Section 2' The Planning Commission of the City of Tustin
duly called a hearing on said application for rezoning, on May 14,
·
1962, at ?'30 P.M., in the Council Chambers, in the City Hall,
Tustin, California, all in accordance with Ordinance No. 157, of
the City of Tustin. Said hearing was duly held, and at said hear-
ing interested persons spoke upon said application. The names of
the persons appearing and speaking at said hearing were' Mr. Ted
Fish, Mr. George Bliss, Mr. Buescher. A letter was read which~had
been received from Mr. Frank L. Warden, Jr. At said hearing evidence
was introduced that the property was classified as R-4 in the County,
and that a tentative Tract Map has been approved pursuant to the
restrictions on County R-4; that the property has been annexed to
the City of Tustin, and that the City of Tustin does not have an
R-4 District; and that the property owner has requested rezoning of
said property to R-3, for all the property except the frontage on
Newport boulevard, and has requested zoning to C-1 upon that property.
The Planning Commission concluded that the best
interests of the City of Tustin and the surrounding property would
be served by rezoning said property to R-3.
Section 3: The Planning Commission of the City
of Tustin finds and determines that said property should be zoned
R-3, and recommends to the City Council that it change said property
