A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA RECOMMENDING CHANGES IN THE
BUILDING LINE SETBACK REQUIREMENTS FOR CERTAIN PROP-
ERTY FRONTING ON 'B" STREET, SOUTH OF SIXTH STREET,
IN THE CITY OF TUSTIN.
WHEREAS~ the City Council of the City of Tustin adonted
Resolution No. ~76, declaring its intention to initiate proceedings
on its own motion for t~te amendment of the building line setback
requirements for property fronting on "~" Street, South of Sixth
Street, in the City of Tustin, which Resolution was adopted after
the filing of an application for change of set~ack line b~ the
owner of one parcel of pronerty fronting on "~" Street, South of
Sixth Street; and
WHEREAS, it is in the ~ublic interest to have the building
line setback requirements uniform on both sides of "B" Street, South
of Sixth Street~ and
WHEREAS, the Plsnning Commission of the City of Tustin
has duly given notice of a time and place for a public heari, ng
before said Planning Commission, concerning the amendment of the
building line setback requirements for property fronting on "B"
Street, South of Sixth Street, and concerning the amendment of
Ordinance No. ?1 of the City of Tustin, as amended, all in accord-
ance with the provisions and requirements of Ordinance No. 71 of
the City of Tustin, as emended; and
WHEREAS, a p~blic hearing was duly held on July l~, 1959,
at ?:00 P.M., to hear objections to and to consider the amendment of
t~e build~ng line setback requirements on pronerty fronting on
"B" Street, South of Sixth Street. and to consider the amendment
of Ordinance No. 71 o~ t~e City of Tustin, as amended;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Planning Commission of the City of
Tustin does resolve as follows:
Section 1. The Pl.~nning Commission finds that ~ublic
necessity, convenience, general welfare and good zoning practice
require that the building line setback requirements be s. mended on
the hereinafter described nroperty and that Ordinance No. ?l, as
amended, be further amended as hereinafter set forth:
The building line setback requirements on each side of
South "B" Street, from t?!e South line of Sixth Street, Southerly
to the Santa Aha Freeway, to be five feet Easterly and Westerly
from the existing Easterly and Westerly lines of "B" Street, the
said "B" Street being 66 feet in width.
Section 2. That the Plsnning Commission of the City
of Tustin respectfully recommends that the building line setback
requirements on the psrcels of property fronting on "B" Street,
South of Sixth Street, in the City of Tustin, as above described,
be amended as above set forth and that Ordinance No. ?1, as amended,
be further amended as above set forth all in accordance with a map,
which map is attached hereto, incorporated herein, marked Exhibit
"A" and made a part hereof.
PASSED ~ND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the
City of Tustin, California, at a regular meeting thereof held
on the 13th day of July, 1959.
