A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING CHANGES IN THE
BUILDING LINE SETBACK REQUIREMENTS FOR PROPERTY
FRONTING ON FIRST STREET IN THE CITY OF TUSTIN.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tustin adopted
Resolution No. 466, declaring its intention to initiate proceedings
on its own motion for the amendment of the building line setback
requirements along First Street ~n the City of Tustin; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County M~ster Plan of Highways indicates
that First Street, in County territory, is eventually to be 100 feet
in width; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to have thet portion
of First Street lyin~ within the City of Tustin the same width
as that portion of First Street situated in the County of Orange
and the City of Santa Aha; and
WHEREAS, the Plsnning Commission of the City of Tustin has
duly given notice of a time and place for a public hearing before
the Planning Commission concerning said amendment in the building
line setback requirements for proDerty fronting on F~rst Street,
all in sccordance with Ordinance No. ?1 of the City of Tustin, as
amended; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly held on May 25, 1959,
at 7:15 P.M., to hear objections to and to consider the amendment of
the building line setback requirements on properties fronting on
First Street, more Darticularly described hereinafter,
NOW THEREFORE, the Planning Commission of the City of
Tustin does resolve as follows:
Section 1. T~e Planning Commission finds that public
necessity, convenience, general welfare and good zoning practice
require that the b~il~ing line setback requirements be amended
on the hereinafter described property, as hereinafter set forth:
The building line set back requirements .on the North side
of First Street to be 50.00 feet Northerly, meesured at right
8ngles from the surveyed center line of First Street and extending
from the Westerly City limits of Tustin, Easterly to the North-
westerly line of Irvine's Subdivision, being the Southeasterly City
limits of Tustin; excepting therefrom any portions thereof in
Co~nty territory.
Said building line setback requirements on the South side
of First Street to be 50.00 feet Southerly, measured at right
angles from the surveyed center line of First Street from the
East line of Tustin Avenue, as it now exists, Southerly from First
Street, extending Easterly to the Northwesterly line of Irvine's
Subdivision, being the Southeasterly City limits of Tustin.
Section 2. That the Planning Commission of the City of
Tustin respectful].y recommends that the building line setback
requirements on the parcels of property fronting on First Street,
in the City of Tustin, as above described, be amended as above
set forth, all in accordance with a map, w~ich map is attached
hereto, incorporated herein, market Exhibit "A" and made a part
hereof.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the
City of Tustin, California, a.~ a reg~lar adjourned meeting held
on the 25th day of May, 1959.
