HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC RES 517RESOLUTION NO. 517 RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING ZONING AND ESTABLISHING BUILDING LINES FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF TUSTIN. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tustin, January 19, 1959, adopted Resolution No. 45?, declaring its intention to initiate proceedings on its own motion for the zoning and establishment of building lines on that certain real property hereinafter described; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Tustin, has duly given notice of a time and place for a public hearing before the Planning Commission concerning said zoning and building line requirements, all in accord- ance with Ordinance No. ?1 of the City of Tustin, as amended; and, WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly held on February 9, 1959, at ?:30 P. M. in the Council Chambers of the Tustin City Hall to hear objections to and to con- sider the zoning and establishment of building l%nes on that certain real property more particularly described hereinafter; NOW, THEREFORE, the Planning Commission of the City of Tustin, does resolve as follows: Section 1. The Planning Commission finds that Public necessity, convenience, general welfare, and good zoning practice require the changes in zoning and estab- lishment of building lines of the hereinafter described property as hereinafter set forth: TO BE ZONED R-1 PARCEL 1: Beginning at the intersection of a line drawn parallel with and 10 feet Southeasterly, measured at right angles from the Southeasterly line of the Northwesterly one-half of Lot 32 in Block 12 as per Map 5! of Irvine's Subdivision recorded in ~Book l, page 88, Miscellaneous Record Maps, Orange County, California, with the boundary line of the City of Tustin, said boundary line also being the North- easterly right of way line of Laguna Road, 80 feet in width. Thence from said point of beginning running Northeasterly along said parallel line, also being the Southeasterly right of way line of Orange Avenue, 40 feet in width a distance of 1281.47 feet a little more or less, to a line drawn parallel with and 30 feet Southwesterly measured at right angles from the Northeasterly line of said Lot 32, Block 12, said point also being in the Southwesterly right of way line of San Juan Street, 60 feet in width. Thence Southeasterly along said parallel line, and continuing along a line drawn parallel to the Northeasterly line of Lot 31 in said Block 12 a distance of 981.38 feet, a little more or less, to the Southeasterly line of the Northwesterly one-quarter of Lot 31 in said Block 12. Thence Southwesterly along said Southeasterly line, 1200.00 feet, a little more or less, to the boundary line of the City of Tustin, also being the Northeast- erly right of way line of Laguna Road. Thence Northwesterly following the City of Tustln boundary line to the point of beginning. PARCEL 2: Beginning at the inter- section of a line drawn parallel with and 30 feet southwesterly, measured at right angles, from the northeasterly line of Lot 31 in Block 12 as per Map of Irvine's Subdivision recorded in Book l, page 88, Miscellaneous Record Maps, Orange County, California, with the southeasterly line of the northwesterly one-quarter (1/4) of Lot 31 in said Block 12, said point being an angle point in the boundary line of the City of Tustin. Thence from said angle point, souSe- easterly along a line drawn parallel to and 30 feet southwesterly, measured at right angles from the northeasterly line of said Lot 31, in Block 12, a distance 661.40 feet, a little more or less, to an intersection with the northwesterly line of the southeasterly one-quarter (1/4) of said Lot 31 in Block 12. Thence South 40° 00 West (record) along the northwesterly line of said south- easterly one-quarter (1/4), 630.60 feet, a little more or less, to the westerly corner of the northeasterly one-half (1/2) of said southeasterly one-quarter (1/4). Thence North 50° 00' West (record) along the southwesterly line of the northeasterly one- half (1/2) of said Lot 31, in Block 12, 661.40 feet, more or less, to an intersection with the boundary line of the City of Tustin. Thence North 40° 00' East (record) along said boundary line to the point of beginning. Section 2. That the Planning Commission of the City of Tustin respectfully recommends that the above described real property be zoned as above set forth and that building lines be established thereon all in accordance with a map, which map is attached hereto, incorporated herein, and marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof. The Secretary of the Planning Commission is directed to forward copies of this Resolution to the Board of Trustees, Tustin Union High School, and to the City Council of the City of Tustin.
