RESOLUTION NO. 509
RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING CHANGES IN ZONING
FOR THAT REAL PROPERTY LOCATED BETWEEN "F" AND "H"
STREETS, AND FRONTING ON EAST MAIN STREET, WHICH
PROPERTY IS MORE FULLY DESCRIBED HEREIN.
WHEREAS, J. O. PREBLE and MILDRED L. PREBLE, have duly
filed with the City Clerk an application for change of zoning
concerning the property described hereinafter; and
WHEREAS, said matter has been referred to the Planning
Commission of the City of Tustin, and the Planning Commission
has duly given notice of the time and place for a public hearing
before the Planning Commission, ail in accordance with Ordinance
No. 71 of the City of Tustin, as amended; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on May 26, 1958, at
7:00 p.m., to consider the rezoning for that certain real property
located between "F" and "H" Streets, and fronting on East Main
Street, more particularly described as follows:
and;
"A portion of Blocks 10 and 11 of Tustin City,
in the County of Orange, State of Cslifornia, as
per map recorded in Book 4, pages 218 and 219
of Miscellaneous Records in the office of the
County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California,
described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of said
Block 11, running thence North 639 1/2 feet;
thence East 340.57 feet; thence South 639 1/2
feet and thence West 340.57 feet to the point
of beginning."
WHEREAS, J. L. McBRIDE, City Engineer of the City of
Tustin, has duly presented a report and recommendation concerning
said territory to the Planning Commission,
NOW, THEREFORE, the Planning Commission of the City of
Tustin does resolve as Follows:
Section 1. The Planning Commission finds that public
necessity, convenience, general welfare, and good zoning practice
require the changes in zoning hereinafter set forth.
Section 2. That.the Planning Commission of the City of
Tustin recommends that that certain property in the City of
Tustin described hereinabove be rezoned from M-1 to R-3 and C-2
as follows: The Southerly 138 feet of said real property
described hereinabove be rezoned from M-1 to C-2; and that
the Northerly 501.5 feet thereof be rezoned from M-1 to R-3,
all in accordance with a map, which map is attached hereto, incor-

porated herein, marked "Exhibit A", and made a part hereof.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the
City of Tustin, California, on the 26th day of May, 1958. ~
