AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED
AS "BRYAN-RED HILL ANNEXATION" TO THE CITY
OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF'THE CITY OF
TUST IN:
WHEREAS, on March 26, 1962, the Council of the
City of Tustin did pass and adopt Resolution No. 592, declaring
that proceedings had been initiated by the City Council of the
City of Tustin, California, to annex to said City certain unin-
habited territory described therein and designated as "BRYAN-RED
HILL ANNEXATION~ to the City of Tustin, and giving notice of the
proposed annexation, and said Resolution described the boundaries
of the territory proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 592 did contain a
notice of the day, hour and place where and when the Council of

the City of Tustin would hear protests made.by any person owning
real property within the territory proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS~ the Boundary Commissionof the Couty of
Orange, State of California, did, in session duly assembled, ap-
prove the proposed annexation boundaries of. said annexation; and
WHEREAS, On May 21, 1962, at the hour of 7:30
P.M., in the Council Chambers, in the City Hall, 145 West Third
Street, Ci~ of Tustin, County of Orange, State.of'California, said
time and place being the day,hour and place fixed in said Resolu-
tion No. 592 for hearing protests to the said annexation, the
City Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the
proposed annexation,. and did determine that protests ~had not been
made by the owners of one-half of the value of the privately
owned territory proposed to be annexed, as shown on the last
equalized assessment. roll, nor by public owners of one-half
of the value of the publicly owned territory proposed to be
annexed, as determined by said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory i~s cont~g~ous to the City of
Tustin, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Orange, and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City .Council of the City of Tustin
does hereby approve the annexation of the ~territory hereinaf~er
described to the City of Tustin, ~and does hereby further ordain
that the said territory be, and the same hereby is annexed to the
City of Tustin.
That said territory, the~annexationlof which the City of
Tustin has herewith approved, is all that territory situated in the
County of Orange, State of California, more particularly described
as follows:
"Beginning at the Westerly corner of the Northeasterly
half of Lot 17, Block 12 of Irvine's Subdivision, as
shown on a map thereof recorded in Book l, Page 88 of
Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, Calif.,
said point also being a point on the existing city
boundary line of the City of Tustin annexed by the
Eastside Annexation as per Ordinance No. lll, passed
and adopted by theTustin City Council on June 17,1957,
said point being No. 39o57'46~ E., a distance of 70-55
feet from an angle point in said Eastside Annexation,
said angle point being the intersection of said North-
westerly line of Irvine'~s Subdivision with the inter-
~ection of the Easterly prolongation of the North
line of Main Street (80 feet wide);
Thence, N. 39o57'46" E. along said Northwesterly line
of Irvine's Subdivision, said line also being along
said Eastside Annexation boundary, a distance of 627
feet more or less to the Northwesterly prolongation
of the SouthWesterly line of Bryan Avenue (66 feet
wide);
Thence,'leaving said Eastside Annexation boundary, S.
50o00'40" E. along said Northwesterly prolongation and
said Southwestly line, a distance of 660 feet more or
less to the Southwesterly prolongatioh of the North-
westerly line of the Southeasterly half of the South-
westerly half of Lot 16, Block 12 of said irvine's
Subdivision;

The City Clerk. shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once within
fifteen days alters its adoption in the Tustin News, a weekly
newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and cir-
~'~ culated in the City of Tustin, and said Ordinance shall take
.... effect and be in full force immediately from and after its
final adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Tustin, at a regular m'eeting thereon held on the 4th day of June, 1962.
