HomeMy WebLinkAboutRDA MINUTES 1996 04 01 MINUTES REGULAR MEETING OF THE TUSTIN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA APRIL 1, 1996 CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Potts at 8:09 p.m. at the Council Chambers, 300 Centennial Way, Tustin, California. ROLL CALL Members Present: Jim Potts, Chairperson Tracy Wills Worley, Chairperson Pro Tem ThomasR. Saltarelli Jeffery M. Thomas Members Absent: Mike Doyle Recording Secretary: Pamela Stoker Others Present: William A. Huston, Exec. Development Rick Zimmer, Redevelopment Program Manager Gary Veeh, Water Services Manager Paula Rankin, Associate Planner Approximately 40 in the audience REGULAR BUSINESS ( ITEMS I THROUGH 4 ) 1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - MARCH 18, 1996 REGULAR MEETING It was ~oved by Thomas, seconded by Worley, to approve the Redevelopment Agency Minutes of March 18, 1996. Motion carried 4-0, Doyle absent. 2. APPROVAL OF DEMANDS It was moved by Thomas, seconded by Worley, to approve Demands in the amount of $772,301.14. Motion carried 4-0, Doyle absent. 380-10 3. EXCLUSIVE RIGHT TO NEGOTIATE: LAGUNA GARDENS It was moved by Thomas, seconded by Worley, to authorize the execution of an Exclusive Right to Negotiate Agreement between the Tustin Community Redevelopment Agency and Charles H. Fry. Motion carried 4-0, Doyle absent. 400-10 4. AMENDMENT TO SHEA HOMES DISPOSITION AND DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT (DDA) It was ~oved by Thomas, seconded by Worley, to approve Amendment No. 1 to the Disposition and Development Agreement (DDA) between the Tustin Community Redevelopment Agency and Shea Homes Limited Partnership, subject to any minor modifications made with approval by the City Attorney. Motion carried 4-0, Doyle absent. 400-10 OTHER BUSINESS ELECTION RUNNING MATES Chairperson Potts thanked Berklee Maughan and Jane Anderson for participation in the March 26, 1996 election with him and hoped ill will from the election had passed. REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MINUTES Page 2, 4-1-96 CLOSED SESSION Chairperson Potts announced that the Agency would convene in closed session to ccnfe~ with the Agency Counsel regarding real property negotiations- The property was 1021 East Edinger, Tustin, California, and the parties are the City of Tustin and Chevron USA Products Co. The negotiations concerned price and terms of payment. ADJOURNMENT Chairperson Potts adjourned the meeting at 8:11 p.m. The next regular meeting of the Redevelopment Agency was scheduled for Monday, April 15, 1996, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 300 Centennial Way.
