HomeMy WebLinkAboutRDA MINUTES 1996 06 17 MINUTES REGULAR MEETING OF THE TUSTIN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA JUNE 17, 1996 CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chair Worley at 8:55 p.m. at the Council Chambers, 300 Centennial Way, Tustin, California. Valerie Crabill, Chief Deputy City Clerk Dan Fox, Senior Planner Greg Gubman, Associate Planner Approximately 30 in the audience REGULAR BUSINESS ( ITEMS I THROUGH 4 ) ~"~.1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - JUNE 3, 1996 REGULAR MEETING Agencymember Ports stated he would abstain from voting on this item due to his absence from the June 3, 1996 meeting. It was moved by Thomas, seconded by Doyle, to approve the Redevelopment Agency Minutes of June 3, 1996. Motion carried 4-0, Potts abstained. 2. APPROVAL OF DEMANDS It was moved by Thomas, seconded by Doyle, to approve Demands in the amount of $61,622.26. Motion carried 5-0. 380-10 3. LOAN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF TUSTIN AND THE TUSTIN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY It was moved by. Thomas, seconded by Doyle, to authorize the Chair of the Redevelopment Agency to execute the subject Loan Agreement offering and accepting a loan from the City to .the Agency of $2,400,000. Motion carried 5-0. 400-10 4. AUTHORIZATION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS, NEWPORT FAMILYAND YOUTH CENTER It was moved by Thomas, seconded by Doyle, to approve plans and specifications and authorize advertisements for bids for construction of the Newport Family and Youth Center. Motion carried 5-0. 930-40 OTHER BUSINESS YOUTH CENTER FUNDING William Huston, Executive Director, noted that the Youth Center was funded through the Redevelopment Agency and those funds could not be REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MINUTES Page 2, 6-17-96 used for law enforcement. CLOSED SESSION - None ADJOURNMENT Chair Worley adjourned the meeting at 8:57 p.m. The next regular meeting of the Redevelopment Agency was scheduled for Monday, July 1, 1996, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 300 Centennial Way.
