HomeMy WebLinkAboutRDA MINUTES 1995 02 21 MINUTES REGULAR MEETING OF THE TUSTIN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA FEBRUARY 21, 1995 CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Saltarelli at 11:03 p.m. at the Council Chambers, 300 Centennial Way, Tustin, California- ROLL CALL Members Present: Thomas R. APPROVAL OF DEMANDS It was moved by Potts, seconded by Worley., to approve Demands in the amount o f $ 49,003.85. 380-10 Motion carried 5-Q. 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTE8 - FEBRUARY 6, 1995 REGULAR MEETING It was moved by Potts, seconded by Worley, to approve the Redevelopment Agency Minutes of February 6, 19~5. Motion carried 5-Q. 3. STATUS REPORT: TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION AT FIRST STREET/"B" STREET (CIP NO. 800048) It was moved by Potts, seconded by Worle¥, to defer implementation of the subject project to a future fiscal year and direct staff to monitor the location and return the project for Agency consideration when traffic conditions indicate that installation of a traffic signal is appropriate. Motion carried 5-0. 760-65 4. HOUSING REHABILITATION AND CODE ENFORCEMENT STATUS REPORT Dave Gottl ieb, Redevelopment Project Manager, reported the recommendations streamlined the operating process; increased the funding level to participants in the Rental Rehabilitation Loan and Grant Program; and Southwest area rehabilitation projects in the past 2% years consisted of 33 apartment buildings and 23 single- family homes. It was moved by Potts, seconded by Worley, to el iminate the requirement that individual tenants of rental properties not spend more than 30% of their gross income towards housing costs; increase the grant funds available to the single family and rental property owners to provide for mandatory painting of buildings; expand the boundaries of the rental loan program to make them consistent with REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MINUTES Page 2, 2-21-95 the single family loan program and the residential grant program; and affirm the modifications to the processing schedule for property owners under code enforcement. Motion carried 5-0. 650-05 OTHER BUSINESS - None CLOSED SESSION - None ADJOURNMENT Chairperson Saltarelli adjourned the meeting at 11:06 p.m. The next regular meeting of the Redevelopment Agency was scheduled for Monday, March 6, 1995, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 300 Centennial Way. ~OM~S R.
