HomeMy WebLinkAboutRDA MINUTES 1994 08 01 MINUTES REGULAR MEETING OF THE TUSTIN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA AUGUST 1, 1994 CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Saltarelli at 10:30 p.m. at the Council Chambers, 300 Centennial Way, Tustin, California. ROLL CALL Members Present: Thomas R. Saltarelli, Chairperson Jim Potts, Chairperson Pro Tem Mike Doyle Jeffery M. Thomas Tracy A. Worley Members Absent: None Recording Secretary: Mary E. APPROVAL'OF MINUTES -JULY 18, 1994 REGULAR MEETING It was moved by Potts, seconded by Thomas, to approve the Redevelopment Agency Minutes of July 18,1994. Motion carried 5-0. 2. APPROVAL OF DEMANDS It was moved by Potts, seconded by Thomas, to approve Demands in the amount of $162,452.08. Motion carried 5-0. 380-10 3. APPLICATION FOR ALLOCATION OF MORTGAGE CREDIT CERTIFICATES Christine Shingleton, Assistant Executive Director, reported that the Federal Government allocated a set amount of mortgage authorization for each state and California, in turn, sub-allocated this authority to local jurisdictions. She stated that the application, which the County was filing, was to the California Debt Limit Advisory Committee, who had the authority in California to allocate this State's share of mortgage amounts to local agencies. She said that in September 1993, the City of Tustin joined other cities and the County in receiving an allocation for this'program, and,notedthe allocation was almost depleted and the County was preparing an application for a new allocation. It was moved by Thomas, seconded by Worley, to appropriate the following Town Center Project Area and South Central Project Area Housing Set-aside funds as partof the 1994-95 budget: a. $4,500.00 in administrative costs for the Mortgage Credit Certificate Program to be assigned to the Town Center Project Area and $4,500.00 to be assigned to the South Central Project Area. REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MINUTES Page 2 8~94 ' ~ / b..$10,000.00 in potential penalty charges to be assigned to the ToWn Center Project Area and $10,000.00 to be assigned to the SOUth Central Project Area. Pursuant to the requirements of the California Debt Limit Advisory Committee, the Finance Director shall deposit said amounts in a trust/security account. Motionscarried 5-0. / 650-05 OTHER BUSINESS - None CLOSED BESSION - None ADJOURNMENT Chairperson Saltarelli adjourned the meeting at 10:32 p.m. The next regular meeting of the Redevelopment Agency was scheduled for Monday, August 15, 1994, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 300 Centennial Way.
