AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN, FIXING AND DETERMINING THE AMOUNT
OF REVENUE NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION
UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF
TUSTIN AND THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE NECESSARY TO
CARRYON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF THE SAID
CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1961-62
Th~ City Counc~l of the City of Tustin does ordain
as follows:
Section 1: That it is hereby determined and de-
clared by the City Council of the City of Tustin that the sum
of ~177,481.00 is the amount of revenue necessary to be raised
in order to carry on the various departments of the City of
Tustin for the fiscal year 1961-62.
Section 2: That of said ~sum of ~177,48!.00 it is
anticipated that there will ~e receive~, as income from various
sources other than through property tax levy, the sum of
~127,18!.00, and that it will be necessary tO raise the sum
of ~50,300.00' by tax levy upon the property within the City
of Tustin.
Section B: The sum of ~10,000.00 out of the amount
budgeted to the Police Department will be taken from the Motor
Vehicles License Fund for police salaries. The sum of ~2,000.00
of the amount budgeted to the Police Department shall be taken
from the Alcoholic Beverage License Fund, and shall be trans-
ferred to the General Fund for that purpose.
Of the money budgeted from the street department,
~22,000.00 of the salaries of the City Engineer and the Street
Superintendent and of the monies expended for the street truck,
and of the monies expended ~or the repair, maintenance and
construction of major City streets, shall be taken from the
Traffic Safety Fund. The budget of the Street D~partment for
construction of major highways approved by the State of
California shall be paid for from special gas tax funds.
Section 4: That the ~!77,481o00 so required by the
various departments of the City of Tustin during the fiscal
year is distributed and budgeted as follows:

Section ~: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Ordinance, and shall cause the same to be published once within
fifteen days after its adoption, in the Tustin News, a weekly newspaper
of general circulation, printed, pub].ished and circulated in the City
of Tustin, and said Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
immediately ~rom and alters its final adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Tustin, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th day of August 1961.
