REGULAR MEETING OF THE TUSTIN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA
JUNE 21, 1993
1. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Potts at 8:20 p.m.
at the Tustin Area Senior Center, 200 South "C" Street, Tustin,
California.

3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - JUNE 7, 1993 REGULAR MEETING
It was moved Puckett, seconded by Pontious, to approve the
Redevelopment Agency Minutes of June 7, 1993.
Motion carried 5-0.
4. APPROVAL OF DEMANDS
It was moved by Puckett, seconded by Pontious, to approve Demands
in the amount of $176,145.02.
Motion carried 5-0. 380-10
5. DESIGN REVIEW 93-12 AND REQUEST FOR PARKING STRUCTURE SPACES FEE
LICENSING AGREEMENT (THOMPSON)
Becky Stone, Assistant Planner, reported the applicant was
proposing to remodel the east and north facades of the existing
office structure located at 100 West Main Street and proposed
leasing the additional five required parking spaces from the Agency
in the Steven's Square parking structure. She summarized the
proposed renovations and stated that the applicant was requesting
a waiver of the lease fee required for the Redevelopment Agency-
owned Steven's Square parking structure. She noted that the
resolution had been modified to reflect changes to a condition of
approval which would require the applicant to provide a pedestrian
entry from the parking structure.
It was moved by Thomas, seconded by Pontious, to approve Design
Review 93-12 by adopting the following Resolution No. RDA 93-9 as
modified; and approve the applicant's request to waive the lease
fees for five (5) parking spaces owned by the City in the Steven's
Square parking structure and authorize the Executive Director to
execute a no-fee licensing agreement:

ON THE NEWPORT AVENUE/SR-55 INTERCHANGE RECONFIGURATION PROJECT
Chairperson Potts announced this item would be continued. Council

7. AGREEMENT WITH CATELLUS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION FOR PREPARATION AND
PROCESSING OF A PROJECT STUDY REPORT FOR THE NEWPORT AVENUE/SR-55
INTERCHANGE RECONFIGURATION PROJECT
Chairperson Potts announced this item would be continued. Council
concurred. 490--10
8. TUSTIN POLICE DEPARTMENT EVIDENCE ENCLOSURE
Christine Shingleton, Assistant Executive Director, reported in
April 1993, the Agency approved plans for an evidence enclosure for
the police department funded by the general fund capital fund. She
stated staff recommended award of bid to the lowest bidder,
Department of Interior Construction.
It was moved by Puckett, seconded by Saltarelli, that City Council
authorize a transfer of $15,867.00 from the fiscal year 1992-93
general fund capital fund to the Redevelopment capital fund; and
the Redevelopment Agency award the contract to the lowest bidder,
Department of Interior Construction.

9. OTHER BUSINESS
A. SOUTH CENTRAL PROJECT IMPROVEMENTS
Chairperson Pro Tem Saltarelli requested that importance of the
South Central project improvements be emphasized to Catellus
Development.
B. TUSTIN AND FOOTHILL HIGH SCHOOL GRAD NITES
Agency Member Pontious commended Tustin High School and Foothill
High School parents and volunteers for outstanding "grad nite"
celebrations.
C. "PAINT OUT" - JUNE 26, 1993
Chairperson Potts invited the public to participate at "paint
out" graffiti event on June 26, 1993.
10. ADJOURNMENT
Chairperson Potts adjourned the meeting at 8:25 p.m. The next
regular meeting of the Redevelopment Agency was scheduled for
Tuesday, July 6, 1993, 7:00 p.m., at the Tustin Area Senior Center.
