REGULAR MEETING OF THE TUSTIN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA
AUGUST 2, 1993
1. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was>~called to order by Chairperson Potts at 9:08 p.m.
at the Tustin Area Senior Center, 200 South "C" Street, Tustin,
California.
2. ROLL CALL

3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - JULY 19, 1993 REGULAR MEETING
It was moved by Puckett, seconded by Saltarelli, to approve the
Redevelopment Agency Minutes Of July 19, 1993.
Motion carried 5-0.
4. APPROVAL OF DEMANDS
It was moved by Puckett, seconded by Saltarelli, to approve Demands
in the amount of $77,376.49.
Motion carried 5-0. 380-10
5. CONSULTANT SERVICES AGREEMENT - COTTEN AND SELFON
Christine Shingleton, Assistant Executive Director, reported that
in September 1992, the Agency approved a contract with Cotten and
Selfon for consulting services for the Redevelopment Reuse planning
efforts on MCAS, Tustin. She stated that terms of the agreement
stipulated compensation based on actual time and material costs,
and with the Base Closure and Realignment Commission hearings in
April 1993, Cotton and Selfon's services were utilized. She stated
that staff recommended approval of total billings to Cotten and
Selfon through June 30, 1993, not to exceed $40,000.00 without
Agency authorization.
Chairperson Pro Tem Saltarelli and Agency Members Pontious and
Thomas commended Cotten and Selfon for their recent services during
the Base Closure and Realignment Commission hearings.
It was moved by Pontious, seconded by Thomas, to approve billings
for Cotten and Selfon of $22,595.13 to date and authorize staff
approval up to $40,000.00 in total billings under the existing
contract through June 30, 1994, without further Agency
authorization.

6. OTHER BUSINESS
A. TASTE OF TUSTIN
Chairperson Potts commented on the successful Taste of Tustin
event.
B. SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES
Chairperson Potts announced a free Foot Fair on August 7, 1993,
and encouraged citizens to support local businesses.
7. CLOSED SESSION
Chairperson Potts announced the Redevelopment Agency would recess
to Closed Session pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8 to
give instructions to the Agency's negotiator regarding negotiations
with Case Swayne company concerning the purchase of the property
located at 1021 East Edinger Avenue, Tustin.
8. ADJOURNMENT
Chairperson Potts adjourned the meeting at 9:13 p.m. The next
regular meeting of the Redevelopment Agency was scheduled for
Monday, August 16, 1993, 7:00 p.m., at the Tustin Area Senior
Center.
