REGULAR MEETING OF THE TUSTIN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA
FEBRUARY 19, 1991
1. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Edgar at 8:30 p.m.
in the City Council Chambers, 300 Centennial Way, Tustin,
California-

3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - FEBRUARY 4, 1991 REGULAR MEETING
It was moved by Potts, seconded by Pontious, to approve the
Redevelopment Agency Minutes of February 4, 1991.
Motion carried 5-0.
4. APPROVAL OF DEMANDS
It was moved by Ports, seconded by Pontious, to approve Demands in
the amount of $44,088.48.
Motion carried 5-0. 60
5. DESIGN REVIEW 90-43 (RED HILL CENTER)
Christins Shingleton, Director of Community Development, reported
the applicant proposed extensive improvements to an existing retail
center which included exterior building facade, parking lot,
parking lot landscaping and streetscape renovations. The project
site was located at the northeast corner of Newport Avenue and Old
Irvine Boulevard within the Cl (retail commercial) zoning district.
Staff was satisfied with the conditions imposed and recommended
adoption of Resolution RDA No. 91-4. She added that there were
major engineering conditions related to Newport Avenue/Old Irvine
Boulevard driveway alterations and the City was acquiring
additional dedication for Newport Avenue.
Mayor Edgar, Mayor Pro Tem Puckett, and Councilmember Pontious said
these improvements would enhance the center.
Council/staff discussion followed regarding outside improvement
costs.
Councilmember Prescott was supportive of agency assistance for off-
site improvements.
It was moved by Puckett, seconded by Pontious, to approve Design
Review 90-43 by adoption of the following Resolution No. RDA 91-4:
RESOLUTION NO. RDA 91-4 - A RESOLUTION OF THE TUSTIN COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA,
CONDITIONALLY APPROVING DESIGN REVIEW 90-43, A REQUEST TO
ACCOMMODATE FACADE AND PARKING LOT RENOVATIONS TO AN EXISTING
RETAIL CENTER LOCATED AT 12932 NEWPORT AVENUE

At 8:35 p.m., Chairperson Edgar adjourned the meeting. A
Redevelopment Agency Refinancing Workshop was scheduled for March
4~ 1991, at 5:30 p.m. The next regular meeting of the
Redevelopment Agency was scheduled for Monday, March 4 1991,
7:00 p.m. '
