AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN CALI-
FORNIA, ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT ZONES.
The City Council of the City of Tustin does
ordain as follows:
WHEY~EAS, the City Council hereby Finds, on the
basis of engineering and tra. ffic stu{lZes, that the
speed limits on certain streets '~.rithin the City should
be changed;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Tustin does ordain as follows:
1. That Nisson Road, between Newport ~-~venue
and Fledhill Avenue, be a 3J-mile per hour speed limit
ZOne ·
2. That Newport Avenue, between hisson Road
and the Northerly City Limits of Tustin, be a 3~ mile
per hour speed limit zone.
3- That Laguna Road, between the ooint at
which it becomes "D" Street, and the point at v.~hich
the''~ Southeasterly bounda~ry of the Tustin High School
par%inS lot intersects with the Northeasterly line of
Laguna Road, be a 2J-mile per hour speed limit zone.
~. That LaCuna Road, between the point at
whi~ch the Southeasterly boun{lary of the Tustin ~!igh
School Parking Lot intersects with the Northe~sterly
line of said Laguna Roa. d and l'ledhilt Avenue, be a
3~-mile per hour speed limit zone.
j. That First Street, from Tustin Avenue to
'Yorba Street, be a 3J-mile per hour speed limit zone.
6. That First Street, from Yorba Street
to Prospect ~.~venue, be a 2~-mile oer hour speed limit zone.
~. That Main Street, from Pacific Street to
200 feet East of Prospect Avenue, be a 2j Mile her hour
speed limit zone.
8. That "D" Street, from First Street to
Newport Boulevard, be a 2~ mile per hour speed limit
ZOne .
That the Superintendent of Streets be, and he
hereby is, authorized to place appropriate speed-zone
signs in accordance with the ~oregoing. speed limit
zotqes .
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Tustin,
held on the 6th day of March, 1961.
