HomeMy WebLinkAboutRDA MINUTES 1988 10 19 MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE REDEVELOPBENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA OCTOBER 19, 1988 1. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hoesterey at 10:29 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 300 Centennial Way, Tustin, California. 2. ROLL CALL ! Members Present: Ronald B. Hoesterey, Chairperson i Ursula E. Kennedy, Chairperson Pro Tem Richard B. Edgar John Kelly Earl J. Prescott Members Absent: None Others Present: William A. Huston, City Manager James G. Rourke, City Attorney Mary E. Wynn, Recording Secretary Christine Shingleton, Director/Comm. Development Fred Wakefield, Acting Chief of Police Robert Ledendecker, Director of Public Works Rcyleen White, Director/Community & Adm. Services Ronald A. Nault, Finance Director Laura Pickup, Senior Planner Susan Jones, Recreation Superintendent Valerie Whiteman, Deputy City Clerk Approximately 20 in the audience 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - OCTOBER 3, 1988, REGULAR MEETING It was moved by Edqar, seconded by Kelly, to approve the Minutes of October 3, 1988. The Motion carried 5-0. ~ ' 4. APPROVAL OF DEMANDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $153,088.78 It was moved by Edqar, seconded by Kelly, to approve subject demands in the amount of $153,088.78. The motion carried 5-0. 60 5. OTHER BUSINESS - None 6. CLOSED SESSION Chairman Hoesterey announced the Redevelopment Agency would recess to Closed Session pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(a) to confer with the City Attorney regarding pending litigation which has been initiated formally and to which the Redevelopment Agency is a; party. The title of the litigation is Tustin v. Little Caesar, et al., Orange County Superior Court, Case No. 460270. 7. ADJOURNMENT At 10:30 p.m., the meeting was adjourned to the next Regular Meeting on November 7, 1988, at 7:00 p.m. 8. ACTION FROM CLOSED SESSION The Redevelopment Agency approved the following recommendations: 1. That the Agency approve settlement of the loss of goodwill claim of Gary Lazar, dba P&M Service Stations, for the amount of $69,500 plus allowable interest. 2. That the Agency ratify the settlement of $85,000 plus interest for the loss of goodwill of Little Caesar Enterprises.
